Is there a transportation company that will transport 2 ECVs?

I am taking my quadrapalegic uncle and his wife, who suffers from neuropathy in her feet as well as numerous other health problems to Disney and Universal this September. I was wondering if there was a sort of taxi service that would ransport 2 ECVs and be cheaper than renting 2 ECVs at Universal. We will be renting for 2 weeks from an outside company.
I checked Mears website, but they only show from the airport. If not, we will just rent more ECVs when we get there...:sad2: .

Are you staying at a hotel that offers free transportation to the parks? If so under the ADA they must also offer it to someone in a wheelchair. However, you need to fight for it most of the time. Call the hotel in advance and remind them that the law says they must provide equal access with their transportation and that you will need lift service.

Okay, it looks like the OP is staying at Pop Century, so no free transportation to Universal :teeth:.
I don’t think there’s a taxi that can accommodate two ECVs, so they’d need two taxi vans. Using the fare estimator (and Epcot as a starting point, because I don’t know Pop’s exact address), it would cost about $30 per vehicle each way, plus tip. So, it’s cheaper just to rent the ECVs at Universal.

What you would need is to make sure one of the ECVs you will have can break down to go in a car trunk. Then take a taxi to Universal with an ECV in the trunk, to be reassembled when you get there. Then you only need to rent one ECV at Universal.

I'm not sure about from the dropoff area, but I do know that getting an ECV from Universal can be a bit of a hassle if you drive yourself. Disabled Parking is in one of the garages. You then have to walk to where the two garages meet and then walk further (and/or take a slidewalk) to where you can rent a wheelchair. You then go through Security and another slidewalk to the City Walk area and have to go all the way through City Walk until you finally get to one of the two theme parks. Once inside a park you can trade up for an ECV. And if you want to switch parks during the day they can have someone escort you with the ECV from pne park to the other. When you leave you have to turn the ECV back in before you leave the park and they will give you a wheelchair to get back to the Parking Garage rental location.

I used Mears to go to Universal a few years back and we were collected by the same type of van with wheelchair lift that they use from the airport to hotels. It is big enough for two ECVs.

Be aware that many rides at Universal require you to transfer to a manual chair. Theatre type attractions are OK.

Also, be aware that there are VERY few wheelchair taxis operating in Orlando. I have used taxis on three trips to go offsite. Each time I have waited 1 and a half hours for a taxi. I have even paid a taxi to sit in the supermarket car park with the meter running while I bought groceries. Last trip (Sept 06), a driver told me there are only three wheelchair taxi vans operating around Orlando and they might be off the road with the drivers resting between park opening and closing rushes.

We have also used Mears to go to Universal, and the van accomodated two ECVs, no problem. It was about $16 per person at that time.
