Is there a tour of all Vacation properties?

Hi

We are considering a weekend at disney w/out the kids to tour the DVC resorts. Is there a tour given by disney that does this?

If so what can you tell me about it. Is it worth it or can you decide your home resort w/out actually "seeing" them?

The only DVC resort available for tours is SSR - where the sales office is. If the sold out resorts aren't full/really busy, sometimes the CMs will offer to show you a room. You can certainly visit the common areas of the resorts - just like any other guest.

We stayed at WL last month. We had scheduled an appt to meet with the official DVC group at SSR, but we asked if we could see VWL since we were staying there. We did it through the regular check-in desk. They sent a CM with a key over to VWL to show us a 1 BDR that was open at the time. The CMs all seemed to think it was an unusual request, but they were happy to accomodate us.

Except for OKW all the other WDW DVC resorts have the same basic room layout. The main difference is the theaming of the room, which you can see by doing the virtual tour of the resorts on the DVC web site. I know it's not the same as actually being able to see the room in person but it will give you and idea.

We did the same thing in 2003 when we purchased. We had Great CM's at VWL and OKW show us the rooms and Resort. We went in the middle of the day and it was September so it wasnt busy.

We toured the BWV Sales Center, which had models of BWV and SSR, so we were lucky that we got to tour all the onsite DVC's that week.
We were in the process of purchasing BCV from Disney and had not closed yet, so that trip was to make sure we were making the right choice.
After touring, we added on at OKW and SSR in addition to BCV immediately and BWV last year.
