Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant for a romantic anniversary meal?

Everyone's personal top 10 will be different. If you are looking for the hardest ADRs, I believe the Unofficial Guide put out a list about a year ago of the average number of days ahead you would need to make an ADR in order to not get shut out.

As for a romantic meal, DW and I found Narcoossee's to be very romantic. The Flying Fish was also very nice. Never been to California Grill (going in March), but many have said that it would fit what you are looking for as well.

We find the quietest and most romantic restaurants to be V&A, Shula's, Citricos, Artist Point, Jiko and bluezoo. They are all more expensive, V&A being the most ex*****ive, followed by Shula's and bluezoo, then Jiko, Citricos and AP. The only signature I really wouldn't suggest for a nice romantic anniversary meal is CG. It tends to be the loudest and most kid-friendly of the signatures. It is worth going to, but not for a nice quiet romantic anniversary meal.

As the PP said, everyone is going to have different opinions on their top 10's. For example a lot of people have 'Ohana, Coral Reef and Le Cellier on their top 10's but we personally find those three restaurants awful and overrated.

As far as where to start with other ADR's, you have to decide what sort of dining experience you want (character meals, buffets, signature meals, other TS meals). Then check out a site like allears.net. They have menus from all the restaurants on property to give you an idea of what they serve and what the cost may be if you are paying OOP. Figure out a few places where you and your party might like to eat and go from there. Don't let booking ADR's become a chore or hassle, it's one of my favorite parts of going to WDW.

I would go with V&A or Bistro De Paris they both are very romantic and have wonderful food.

I highly recommend V&A. My then pregnant DW and I celebrated our 7th anniversary there in Sept. 2002. It was one of the most memorable anniversary dinners we've ever had. They made us feel like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The food was by far the best I have ever had at WDW.

I cant really recommend but we are celebrating our anniversary and we will be going to the blue zoo for our anniversary dinner without DS. After asking on here, and researching on chowhoud and other sites, this seemed to be the most highly suggested due to quietness, romance, and food quality. (V&A was not an option due to cost but I am positive that it is the most highly recommended; maybe we will dine here when we renew our vows).

We will also be dining at flying fish and citricos for the first time but DS will be with us at one if not both of these.

If you let us know if you have any food preference (seafood, steak, etc) it would help. And by romantic do you mean "candlelight romantically quiet"??
If so, there are very few options available.

But if you mean table service at a nice restaurant, there's a lot to choose from.

For our anniversary in October, we did the Chef's Tasting and wine pairing at Bluezoo. It was excellent!!

Besides V&A, bluezoo is my favorite but it's way too heavy on the seafood menu if that isn't your thing. After that I'd pick Il Mulino, followed by Citricos and then Jiko. There is no guarantee for romance at any place except for V&A but at least you have a chance at these places.

In the parks,only Bistro is romantic and quiet.The food and service are excellent as well.

Downtown Disney has Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room upstairs.Excellent in all areas as well.

Il Mulino,Bluezoo,Shula's are also superb in the Swan/Dolphin area.

Finally and heads above is V&A for a truly memorable experience.

Try looking into the pix here and at WDs website to see what exactly each place looks like and the menu items available.Disney also tries to accommodate allergies and preferences in a very personal way,I have seen the chef come out to greet a guest with a request a number of times.
