I talked my mom into going with us to wdw last night but she will not be able to do the parks without a wheelchair. Shes not keen on the thought but she has a lot of problums with her knees and ankles. (she was a bartender for the last 25 years) I could bring one but was wondering if there was a swap? thanks Mum

There is no swap that I know of. However, a limited number of manual (push) wheelchairs are availabl at each Disney resort for free. You will need to leave a deposit (usually a Credit Card imprint) that will be returned/destroyed when you return the chair. Rental chairs are also available at each park.

Again, the number of complimetary chairs is limited. Another option is to rent a chair or ECV (scooter) from an off-site company.

The Disney busses are wheelchair friendly, and can hold two wheelchairs or ECVs per bus.

Otherwise, bringing your own chair is also a good option...that is what we usually do.

I have never heard of a wheelchair swap.

There is information about wheelchairs in the disABILITIES FAQs thread (including borrowing from the resorts and places to rent from).
