Is there a quiet (or "more quiet") section at T-Rex?

I'm back w/ yet another dining question!!

We're going in September & will have the DxDP.

I had planned for us to spend some time in DTD on the Sunday of our trip & was going to make an ADR for Raglan Road.

However, it's not really "wowing" me. We'll be there on a Sunday, so I don't think there will be any live entertainment.

I just think our kids will enjoy T-Rex a lot more. I realize it's not on the DP, but we'd pay OOP & save the credits for something else.

However, DH & I are a little worried that our younger DS (who will be 2) will be frightened. I know T-Rex can be quite loud.

Is there a section that is not as loud, or even quiet? Are all the dinosaurs loud? Or is just the meteor shower?

When I look at pics, the ocean-themed room looks nice & less dinosaur-y.

Can you request to be seated in a quiet section?

Or, should we just stay w/ Raglan Road? If it were just DH & I, that's where we'd go, but I want the kids to have fun too.

Thanks for the help!!

I'm not sure. When we were there it was sooooo loud. My 5yo and 7yo cried and wanted to leave. :scared1: My nearly 2yo was sleeping in the stroller...not sure how he slept through it. LOL

We have been 3 times so far, and I don't believe there is a quiet section. When they have the " Meteor" showers it covers the whole restaurant from what i've seen. But it doesn't last that long so hopefully your DS will do fine.

I've been 5 times and it is pretty much loud everywhere. The section in the back that looks like rainforest would probably be your best bet be we have never been seated there - we are always in the "fire pit" or "aquarium" areas. It is usually so busy, though, that it may be hard to request a certain section.

Well, shoot! That's not really what I wanted to read, ya'll!

I would have preferred if someone had said, "Why, yes! There's a quiet room that's not frightening at all, but it's still wonderfully themed! All you have to do is ask, & they'll seat you there!" :lmao:

Anyway...

It looks like I'm back to Raglan Road or Wolfgang Puck Express!

Thank you, though, for helping me out!!
