Is there a price increase for dining Christmas week?

I was wondering if there are price increases in dining during christmas week. I was going to purchase an annual pass for discounts for my trip but just found out the discounts are blacked out during my stay. Is the dining plan worth it during this period of time in the park?

I believe that's when Premium Pricing kicks in, so yes the prices will increase .

Yes dining is at the premium rate during that period. I'm not sure if the dining plan is as well.

Yeah, where is the info on the blockouts for dining discounts with an ap? I didn't look that close on the new discounts they put in for the 45th anniversary. I know Tables in wonderland has blockout dates but that's not part of AP discounts (although it's basically the same discount minus the alcohol)

ok just combed the ap perks site and there is no blockout dates for dining that I can find. the closest thing is these new increased locations and larger percentage off is limited and it goes back to the normal 10% after sept 29, 2017.

now if you clicked through to tables and wonderland which is a different card you can buy and discount program than there is blockout dates for that discount.

I am not 100% sure since we don't usually get the dinning plan, but i believe the price for that goes up too during those dates.

when combing I was actually surprised by which ones were still 10% so look over the ap website under perks before you decide tiw isn't for you next year. there's a few I go to a lot that are not 20% with the ap

I should be better off w/ the AP, as long as there are no blackout dates. I'm a creature of habit, so it's really easy for me to look at a menu months out & know what I'm going to order. I actually made a spreadsheet of what the meals would cost for all my ADRs & what they would be with the various discounts. I came out about $120.00 lower on the AP. So, just better enough to make it worth it.

Funny that I'm not much of a spreadsheet person in life. But, when planning a Disney trip I'll use any excuse to make a spreadsheet. Anything to stay within the Disney induced planning bubble euphoria.

3) Demand is high, and so are the prices!
4) Check the post to see some differences ( WDW Buffet Prices).
5) Disney charges what the market will bear.
6) AT CHRISTMAS, PEOPLE WILL PAY ALMOST ANYTHING.
7) Thus, the market bears anything !
8) SO, WHY SHOULD Disney CHARGE ANYTHING LESS?

Wow there is a much nice way to answer without using Duh and all capitals, especially after several others have answered already. I'm kind of shocked to hear you are a CM and hope you don't answer people this way when you are in costume.

I stand by what I said. If you want to give snarky answers by all means take it to the Community Board where the eat that up. However, should we as a dis community want people to feel like they can come and answer questions with out being made to feel stupid. A simple yes the prices increase during the holidays would have been more than enough.
