Is there a place to find "rule" for DisneyWorld?

We are making our first trip to Disney next week. It is very last minute and I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers.

Are you definitely allowed to take food & water into the parks? I have read posts about food & water but I have had a number of people tell me they didn't think it was allowed.

Do they have family restrooms? The first 3 days my husband will be with us but after that it will just be me and my 3 children. I can't allow my 11 yr old son to go into the men's restroom alone. (By the way, he's about the size of an 8yr old, he's very small for his age.)

If they don't have family restrooms will I have a problem with taking him with me into the women's restroom?

We have brought in water bottles and 20 oz pop. We also have brought in snack foods and fruits/veggies. The last time we went there was Nov 2006 over Thanksgiving.

There are some family restrooms. Be sure to pick up a map when you get into the park.

:welcome: Welcome to the DIS. I'm new too. To answer your question though, we've never had a problem taking food and snacks into the parks. I carry a small backpack with a couple bottles of water (1 for hubby) some snacks, the single drink mixes (to cover the bad taste of the WDW water when we refill our water bottles) and it's never been a problem. Security checks it upon entering the park and let's me right through. Enjoy the Boards - they seem to get addictive - more so after starting to post, even though I have lurked for years.

Hi welcome to "the boards". You can bring in some snacks and water, within reason. They will check you at the gate and your on your way.:woohoo:

The amount of family restrooms is limited, remember if you can't find them just ask any CM and they are more than willing to help you out. Disney is very good about helping their guests. pixiedust:

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome & info. I am happy to hear about the family restrooms and being able to take water & snacks.
