Is there a pin trade that you regretted?

It happens to the best of us sometimes. We willfully agree to trade a pin that you may feel you don't like or want to trade. Then, you get those thoughts. "What if I still had [insert pin name]? I could have gotten that other pin easier!" Well a few weeks ago, I felt so stupid for trading my Monsters Inc. opening day for the Soap Star Sidewalk pin (the one that is reportedly still available according to dizpins.com). My excuse was, "I didn't want to wait in line". I still feel the pain.

So, what are your regrets?

I'm sure I have plenty that I can't think of right now -- but the one that does come to mind happened in January.

My DH had found this pin he thought was really cool huge "15th Anniv" Coca cola pin at a flea market. We'd never seen it before (it was at least 3" square). We bought it and took it down to WDW in September. (I have since found out this pin is the centerpiece to the 15th WDW Anniv. framed Coke pin set -- someone must have broken theirs!). I liked it too, but thought it would be a great trader!

During one of the trading frenzies at Downtown Disney during our last holiday to WDW, a fellow wanted to trade me for it, and I ended up with a Donald Fastpass pin. I thought it was a cool trade because I had really wanted the Donald Fastpass. But after it was all over, I realized that my DH had REALLY liked that Coke pin and was someone disappointed that I had traded it for something less than a Jail Scene ;).

Now, what you have to realize is that the pins are my craze, and my DH is EXTREMELY patient with me about all of this. He stands in lines for me, he carries my pinbooks around, he gets me sodas when I'm in the middle of a pin trading frenzy and don't want to leave, stands around Epcot with me for hours just watching in our 1 week vacation to Florida, and he even wears a lanyard. But when it comes to trading, it just isn't his bag (but did I mention how patient he is??? :) )

He never SAID not to trade the pin, and he NEVER said he was disappointed I'd traded it, but I could just tell by looking at him. I felt so stupid that I wasn't picking up the signals -- the one pin he really liked and I swapped it out.

I wouldn't have traded it if I had to do it all over again.

Who's next?

I had a Christmas Tree pin from TDS...it was LE and numbered on the back. I traded it for one of the Imagineering Fun Fair pins (LE 500), but have regreted letting that tree pin go ever since.....sigh....

started at DL I ran down to get my GWP pin which was the letter D I had a couple of them.
Then when we vacationed at the world I brought them...all of them...(big mistake! LOL)
Well my DH decided to get into the trading spirit and started trading my pins (notice the word my....he works I spend....thus my pins...) Most of the CM at the time didn't even know about the DL pins they would ask what is that...etc....well, they were gone and now I could kick
myself C'est la vie

I had the Walt and Mickey pin from the 101 series. Well the first year I really got into it I had that pin on my lanyard and this lady walked up and said Oh my you have the pin I want I looked up (I was sitting down)

She said I will give you two pins for your walt and mickey pin this is the only pin my husband needs please please please.

Well I did and now I wonder would I have gotten more. But ya know there is a reason I traded it.

I had a MouseGear Opening pin that I traded away, and I can't even remember what I got for it. I got it from a CM in MouseGear, rather easily, so I figured I could always get another one. WRONG! I'm still looking, 1 1/2 years later!

I didn't trade one but lost one! So can I whine about it on your post?
I took my kids to the world 12/1 and went to DTD...my sons friend took my lanyard
and it had my Mickey cruise pin on it....I told him NOT TO LOSE IT!!!!!!!!!!
Guess what....he walks up to me and hands me the landyard without the pin on it!!!!!!!!!!
I was so upset........but I had to keep repeating...its only a pins......now, does anyone have one to trade?
