We will be at DL TOMORROW :cool1::dance3: sorry I got that out of my system. Is there any nice grocery stores near DL??? Thanks for the help!!

Vons is also known as Safeway, I believe. I have heard of a lot of people getting groceries delivered for free after you spend 49 bucks. I think delivery is only free the first time though.

If you have a car, there is a grocery store about a mile away. I don't remember the name but it is similar to a Save a Lot. I think the Target has some grocery type items, but you will definitely need a car to get to it.

I have read a lot from people on these boards who seem to really like to do the delivery option from Vons.

Yup, Vons.. (safeway) will deliver to first time customers free of charge.. the hotel will hold the groceries for you if you are not there yet ...
you can use your safeway card at Vons to get the savings and discounts..

I think that's a Food 4 Less. It's pretty ghetto. :)

Here's the list of grocery stores near DL that I have mapped directions to. They all appear to be about 10 minutes drive away.

Albertson's 13220 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92843 - South of DLR
Ralph's 2030 E Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92806 - Northeast of DLR
Ralph's 915 South Brookhurst Street, Anaheim, CA 92804 - West of DLR
Von's 130 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92805 - North of DLR
Von's 12961 Chapman Avenue, Garden Grove, CA 92840 - Southeast of DLR

Thanks everyone I appreciate all your help. Buying groceries helps keep costs done. At least for us ;)

We've used Von's twice. The first time we were at Dessert Inn and Suites. The office signed and stored the cold stuff for us until we checked in. Perfect experience. The second time, we were at the Disneyland Hotel. We were waiting in our room for them to call as the DLH does not hold the food for you. We did not have good cell service in the room and missed the delivery driver's call. We tried to call back several times but missed he never answered. They did not redeliver and we never received the promised refund.

We got free delivery both times. We used my phone and email adress the first time and the DH's info the second time...

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread but does anyone know if either Von's or Albertson's has a bakery? We want to get a birthday cake the day we arrive. DS would much rather have a Lego cake, or Batman, or Mario Bros. or many other choices before Disney. Don't know where I went wrong with him ;)

We will have a car so getting there shouldn't be a problem.

vons is the more expensive option of the local grocery stores. But probably not so much that you'd notice. The one closest to the park though is not that convenient. You're actually best off, in my opinion, going to the Target straight down Harbor off Chapman. It's close, clean, and easy to navigate.

there is actually a baskin robbins on Chapman and Haster. You can probably call ahead at (714) 750-2181.

This Target btw has a fully equipped grocery store within. It's not just for household goods.
