Yes, the Nintendo DS. Here's a review:

It's got a touch screen, WiFi for playing other gamers, or internet gaming, an is backwards compatible with old games.

My sister was buying a gift for my son and the salesperson told her that there is a new hand-held game coming out. She wasn't sure if he said it was by Nintendo or Play Station, though. If it was Nintendo, it would certainly explain why the price of the GB Advance dropped $20.00. Get everybody to buy one before bringing out the new one!

That's for posting this thread. My 9 year old will go crazy if I can get for for him as a Christmas gift.

The write-ups are in, so far, are excellent. I have to hand it to Nintendo for allowing old games to be played on their new technology..... does save some money.

There is also a new handheld "playstation", but entirely differnt cartridges, games, etc.

The new Nintendo DS is being released Nov 21, at last check. There is also a review on Amazon, but you can't order one yet.

You can also check out www.nintendo.com to see some of their info on it. I feel that this new gameboy is really for older kids, and at $150 I can't see a lot of younger kids getting one anyways. It is due in stores November 21st, and is sure to fly off the shelves. I would check and see if any stores are taking pre-sells on tehm, just to make sure you can get one.

I have preordered 2 of these, coming out in about 3 weeks. Several of the gaming stores are preselling them. They are $150 each, will play GB advanced games- but GB advanced games will not play them. They seem really neat.

DS, almost 12, has this at the top of his list and has since he heard about them months ago. He never got the SP, so he'll be getting a DS under the tree.

I'm 12 and I want one. I have a question. It said u can do text messaging. And I read here you have WiFi access for games. Does that mean you can get AIM or something on it??

Game Stop at our local mall has actually stopped taking orders, they have been so inundated!
