We won't have a cart, so is there a way to easily determine which bus route, etc. to take to different spots in the Fort?

From the cabins, I know the purple route takes us up to the marina for the bus to MK, but what about to the campfire, main pool, hayride, any other internal activities? Or do we just worry about it when we get there and relax until then???? ;)

Thanks,

We actually bring our own cart but don't always use it. We use our bikes alot. Don't know if you are flying or driving but if you can, bring bicycles. Kinda expensive to rent in my opinion. (But would be worth renting for a day to do some exploring, deer watching, Lodge visiting, etc.) We also do alot of walking while we are there. Sounds like you are staying in the cabins so your distance to everything can really vary depending on what loop you are in. But some cabins aren't really that far out of the way, especially if you are just going to the Meadows.

You WILL figure it all out when you get there so I say just relax! :)

Have a blast! We have 5 more months before we get to go back "home"!

I was going to say the same as Dizney Luver also :) They are very easy to read at all the bus stops have fun we leave in 40 days :banana::cool1::cool1: we love the cabins

There are maps at every bus stop, very easy to follow. :thumbsup2

Thanks. Then that's all we'll need.

Since we're leaving in 10 days, relaxing is NOT an option ;) But my problem now is that I'm overthinking everything. I'll be fine in another couple of days when I focus on packing. Until then, thanks to everyone for their patience with me

Actually, there is no bus to MK. To get to MK, you want to take any colored (depending on what loop you are in) to the settlement area. From there, you will board the MK boat, line up on the left. The right line is contemp/wilderness lodge. Any other park, you want to take an OUTPOST bus which takes you up to the outpost depot (check in area) and from there, you will catch your park buses.
Internally, you can just hope off and on any bus you want. Settlement is towards marina with stops all along the way, including pool/campfire/meadows. if you are at trails end and are heading back to your site, take your color (purple/orange/yellow) bus heading to outpost and just get off at the stop closest to your site. Once you do this a few times, you will know when to get off depending on where you are going. It really IS easy!
Once you get back from a park up at the outpost, hop on "your color" settlement bus heading back in to the sites.
have fun and don't stress! the fort is a whole new world, no pun intended!

To be more specific.

For the cabins.

If you want to go straight to the marina/Settlement area from your cabin, take the Purple Settlement bus. It is faster.

If you want to go to the main pool, Meadows,Bike Barn, movie area, from your cabin, take the Orange Settlement bus, that will run down the center of the campground.

If you want to go to any other park from your cabin, take the Purple or Orange Outpost bus, whichever comes first.

If you are at the marina/Settlement and want to go directly to your cabin, take the Purple Outpost bus and get off at your loop.

If you are at the marina/Settlement bus stop and want to get to the Meadows, Bike Barn, etc before going to your cabin, get on the Orange Outpost bus.

If you are at the Meadows area and want to go to your cabin, get on an Orange Outpost bus.

If you are at the Outpost bus stop and want to go to your cabin take an Orange or Purple Settlement bus, whichever comes first.

I could go on with many other combinations, but I hope this helps!!

I think the OP should print out that last post! They should put that at all the cabin bus stops!

Thank you SO much. This really helps me know what to expect.

As the PP suggested, I AM printing this out for my trip binder!

Thanks again (LOVE your camper),
