Is there a list/thread with preferred travel agents? Or maybe TA reviews?

I know this board is supported by Dreams Unlimited.....but there are a LOT of travel agents in that group. Is there a thread, board or other outlet where people leave their reviews of those agents or share their positive experiences for the one that booked their cruise?

Thanks!

I've never seen one. I don't use DU but many here do. Hopefully someone with DU experience can recommend a TA for you.

Thanks :) We've booked our own WDW vacations for YEARS and loved being in control. But the OBCs are very tempting.....not to mention it's our first cruise. I'm sure I could learn all I needed to in time for our 2014 cruise, but again....OBC would be nice.

I've used two different agents for our upcoming cruises - booked specifically for the OBC. The prices are the same so I'll take the "free" $. I'm very comfortable doing it myself so I don't ask my TAs to do much. I know what we want before we book so it is all taken care of from the beginning.

So you can book your dining and things on your own even though you went through a TA? I know that with resort reservations the TA 'owns' your reservation and so you can't call up Disney to change things....but can make your own dining reservations...etc. so I guess it's like that?

Yes, but you really don't have to make dining reservations for your regular daily rotational dining. DCL will assign you a rotation and you will find that out when you check in. if you book far enough in advance you can choose if you want main dining (early) or late dining. The only reservations you would make is if you want to eat at the adult only restaurants like Palo (all ships) and Remy (Dream and Fantasy).

Even if you book with a TA you will be able to book your own shore excursions, spa treatments, Palo, Remy, Cabana, etc. when your booking window opens up. the only thing you lose is control of asking DCL directly any questions pertaining to your reservation.

I can live with that....for the OBC :). Thanks for explaining.

I use DU only b/c they usually offer an extra on-board credit which buys me and my wife a few glasses of Moet Ice while in the adult-only section :)

I use Beth Czada with DU and she has been great. I don't really ask a lot from her though because I already know what I want before I contact her. We did upgrade on our last cruise and she was able to care of that for us pretty easily. As others have stated, when my booking window opens, I will be able to go in and complete my online checkin and select my PAT. I will also be able to book any excursions/adult dining/spa at this time.

The OBC they offer will really help with our expenses onboard. :)

My contact with Beth is limited to email so if you are not okay with that then I would recommend going with a different agency.

I used Beth Fejer with DU. I never had any need to contact her by phone, but my emails were always answered very promptly. Since it was our first cruise, I felt more comfortable know that someone else could handle details for me and make sure I was doing things correctly. Everything was handled very smoothly and the OBC was a nice bonus. I named her again when I made our booking for our dummy date, hopefully to be used Summer 2015.

I am using a TA that is not associated with DU, but does specialize in Disney. I was in hotel management and understand the travel industry and could easily book my own. But, I went with a TA because she knows DISNEY and can easily get things I need. I can spend my research time on planning to relax! Lol

I didn't use a TA just for the OBC. I did it to utilize a specialist who knows the industry and knows how to get whatever we want/need. She is also helping us with other aspects of our vacation that don't involve Disney. And, is figuring out every detail for me. I love it.

We also love Beth Fejer! She's been our TA since Sept 2009!
