Is there a list of restrictions for rides-ie: heart problems, back problems, etc.

We leave for WDW in 25 days. DD8 has just been diagnosed w/chronic tachycardia and normal-high blood pressure (pre-hypertensive). Is there a list somewhere (other than at the rides themselves inside the park) of the restrictions for who should and should not ride? I would like to try to prepare her that she probably won't be able to ride Mission Space or her favorite Tower of Terror but I cannot seem to find info about other rides.

I just don't want to walk up to every ride and say, "Oh sorry honey, you cannot ride this." If I can be a little more prepared, then maybe DH and DD10 can go one way and ride some rides while DD8 and I ride some of the more tame rides.

Thanks for any info.

I don't know about a list. There was a similar thread for a guy with back issues, and pretty much every ride got listed for some reason. I'd just stay away from the rides that are herky-jerky.

Hi CleoKitty,

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter but if you check out www.allearsnet.com and go to the theme parks section and click on attractions, I'm almost 100% positive they mention which rides shouldn't be ridden by those with certain health conditions.

Here's some pixie dust for your family to have a magical trip! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

You can call Disney and request a packet of guides for people with disabilities. They list all of the restrictions for every ride, with the exception of some of the newer ones (the guides appear to be last updated about 3 years ago).

Thank you GoofyBaby. That list is just what I needed. I know that some of the rides will not bother her at all--like Kali River Rapids, Tomorrowland Speedway, Kilimanjaro Safari. But I also know that Mission Space and Tower of Terror are off our list even though she LOVES them; I just cannot take a chance. We've got a little over three weeks before we go. I'm going to make sure I talk w/her cardiologist before we go also. Thanks again.

Check the restrictions for M:S green side . . . she may be able to ride the "lite" version!
