Is there a link that describes exactly what the boarding policy is at ROR...like a tutorial?

In other words, is there a link that gives a complete rundown/instructions on how this work....ie., I think I understand it's pretty important to get to the park early to get into a boarding group, but how many groups a day are there, how long is the wait, etc. etc. I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere that I can be pointed to? Thanks?

RotR goes down alot. Disney has the process down. Guests in the cave que area get water, snacks and appearances. Guests in the attraction part get evacuated and FP return slips
Typical time is about an hour from the time you enter the que until you exit. Delays of an hour or more are common
Some days all guests dont get accommodated. Carryover guests may result in fewer boarding groups next day

I think I heard somewhere their are 120 boarding groups - which sounds about right as I was boarding group 104 and got let onto the ride at 6:30pm.
Then they would create more boarding groups but those groups were less likely to get on the ride.

When you log on and try to get into a BG does it look like when you try to get a FP? Meaning does your group of connected family show up and you just check those that would like to (and are eligible to) join the BG?
