Last fall we went to Mickey not so scary halloween party but when riding the transportation bacteria to the hotel everyone was raving about the Halloween party they did only for one night at Hollywood studio's they said the fireworks were the best disney ever did. Even the cast members were impressed. I think it was called the disney villen night. Where the bad guys took over the park. Are they doing this again? Is it more then one night? Anyone have info?

The Villain Night Event was held on September 13th (Friday the 13th). It was part of Disney's Limited Time Magic in 2013.

And nothing has been said to indicate it may reappear this year.

Also, there was no additional cost to go to the event. Anyone with a park ticket could go...which led to massive crowds and a traffic nightmare.

OMG it was a zoo...worse than NYE at MK. You couldn't move, and we left at 9:30 and the line to get in stretched all the way to the bus stops. We watched the fireworks from the walkway to BWV, which we were lucky enough to be staying at! Great idea, poor planning, needed limited admission. The characters were by Indiana Jones Theater, and all the lines were out to the Main Street waiting to see characters.

OMG never again will I attend an unticketed event like that one last year. it was utter chaos! my friends were in DL and we were in WDW, we both had horrible times. Traffic was horrible. crowds were horrible.... it was just not well thought out, planned and controlled on either coast!

Same here. It was jammed pack with so many people you couldn't move. I should have known it was going to be bad when there was a crowd of people walking from BWV to DHS, normally we only ever see a couple people on the path max.

Nice to see a fellow BCer (and I don't mean Beach Club) 'enjoyed' the mayhem as well.

You see... silly us got onto a bus and tried to get there. Big stinkin' mistake!!! We were in traffic over an hour and a half and not even close to DHS, The busdriver offered us an alternative if everybody agreed after not moving... he'd change course and drop us off at Swoldphin (Can't remember which side lol) and we could hike it in and so we did. We were over an hour late for our dining, however as we were checking in it seems everybody was in the same boat and they honoured reservations.

It was a sea of humanity.

Just UUUGH! I had so been looking forward to that night until I was there. We left early as we were just miserable and watched the fireworks from the bus stop to head back to BLT.

Last fall there was also a party at DHS after the tower of terror 10-miler race. It was after the race til about 4 am and was open to all participants of the race, plus some leftover tickets were sold to the general public on the run disney website. I think it was called the Disney villains bash. I had considered going but had already shelled out money for the Halloween party so we decided against going, so I don't have any other info about it.

Some of those people were coming from BC area. We waited over an hour for a boat to actually pickup someone at BC area. Lots of boats came, but no one exited and no one was allowed on. I think it was about 2 hours of waiting before we finally had a boat with some room.

When. We got into the park, it was terrible. Agree with others that it was worse than NYE. Only way I would go again is if it was a hard ticket event. Shocked that Disney hasn't made it an event held during September. It would draw in enough people that they could cut back on free dining.

Last year event was my idea of a nightmare.
I was stuck on the bus from AKV to the Studios for 2.30 hours. I had a FP+ reservation for Fantasmic! and left the hotel 1.30 hours before the show, thinking it was enough. I was wrong.
The bus driver ended leaving us at BWV and I walked to the Studios.
I saw the fireworks, they were amazing but short, not worth all the hassle.

A friend who works at TOT, stated she believes this is going to be a ticketed party for Frid the 13ths going forward. She was notified that CM were going to be closed from these events, and they are working on planning for larger crowds. Making it either a black out date, not currently showing, or more likely a ticketed party. She worked last mess, and stated she thinks capitalism will come to pass for it.

This maybe should go to rumor board, as who knows if it is true, or even if it is.. if it will come to pass.

Update there is a Villian party at hollywood studios again this year - I believe in August, don't know if it's an extra ticket.

I was there. Was a zoo. Did not have enough staff. Went to Disney for that event. But the rides weren't crowded. Left early. Watched fireworks from parking lot.
