Will be there in February and wonder if there is a place
to get a few food items for our stay at the VGF ?

You also, have the Hess Station right outside the MK Parking Lot, they have most of the same items as the store but at a cheaper price.

You really can't (safely and conveniently) walk to the MK Hess station. We always use Garden Grocer. We find paying a bit more for groceries than we would at home is well worth it in terms of the time and effort it saves us while on vacation.

And if you are doing a split stay, bell services can transfer the refrigerated items between resorts as well. I don't think I would risk frozen items, but for refrigerated ones we have never had a problem with them getting moved and staying cool.

For a few basic things you'll be able to get them at GF. I'd not bother with the expense of a taxi to the Hess gas station. They're still a convenience store, not a grocery store.

Take a taxi, if you do not want to walk.
Otherwise take a monorail to TTC, catch a tram to the parking lot, and then walk from there.

Actually I am not sure it would be legal to walk along that road----like walking alongside a highway. Certainly very dangerous to do so. And no fun to carry that long way back anything you purchase. Even just a couple 2 liters of soda get heavy.

I don't know if that link will work for you. Sign into your DVC account. Under vacation planning, click on pre-arrival checklist. Under order groceries, click read more. It lists all the DVC resorts. Click on VGF. A PDF opens showing you all the groceries available at the store, and their prices. I think they actually all carry or are supposed to carry the same stuff, even though the order forms may vary. You can order it and have them deliver it to your room for $10 delivery fee, or just go get it yourself. But now you know what is available, and the price.:flower3:

I do not remember seeing the store.

Where is it located ?

Sandy Cove in GF lobby, not VGF.
Note on the bottom of the grocery order form:
Additional items including beer, wine and spirits are available at Sandy Cove in the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. 10% Disney Vacation Club Member discount will be applied.
You have to ask for the 10% DVC discount in person, which unfortunately I never remember to do.:sad2:

I found an online grocer that will deliver to any Disney reaort. I googled garden grocer Orlando, FL and found them. This is what we plan on doing.

Just to be clear: the Villas at the Grand Floridian do not have any type of shop in the building. The lobby has check in, concierge, and a DVC table, period. There are vending machines in the ice rooms.
To purchase anything beyond what the vending machine has, you must walk over to the Grand Floridian main building.

There is no "grocery store" per se. There are grocery items (limited) available in Sandy Cove in the main building.
We always order from a grocery delivery service such as Garden Grocer. I believe I save the grocery service delivery fee over just the cost of water at Disney.
Good Luck

Again for other readers, the same list of available items that you will find at all DVC/deluxe resorts not just the GF.

We have found that GG inflates their prices in addition to the fees and tips for delivery. We rent a car for the day, shop where we want when we want, eat off site and save money compared to using GG.

We stay at VGF for three separate weeks a year. We always rent a car and shop at Publix in Windermere behind the Magic Kingdom. I have food allergies so I eat in my villa everyday.
