Is there a good site for U.S. Hotel reviews?

The travel sites like Travelocity & Orbitz have reviews for the hotels in their deals, but it's like 2-3 reviews per hotel. And of course they contradict each other. One will rave on the cleanliness & the other will say the same place was a pig sty. I need more reviews than this.

A great price + bed bugs is NOT a good deal. :scared1:

Absolutely...TRIP ADVISOR... www.tripadvisor.com !!

The only site I use when planning to travel anywhere!!!

I wanted to add that TA also has Message Boards just like the DIS!!!

I second this. Great planning site for everything from hotels to dining etc.

I use Trip Advisor as well. They have reviews for boutique hotels and many B&Bs too which is something I've had a hard time finding.

Third, fourth or fifth what has been said... Tripadvisor. Just don't be scared off by one (or a few) negative reviews. Some people are just over the top ridiculous with what they expect, so ignore those reviews... as well as the overly praising ones, and seek out the middle ground. We've found them to be very accurate.

I also use Trip Advisor, but ditto the comment about taking the very critical reviews with a grain of salt. I have read restaurant reviews on Trip Advisor where I completely disagreed with people and sometimes wonder if we even ate at the same restaurant (in one case, the person ordered the exact same entrees that my friends and I ordered!).

I also recently discovered Yelp (www.yelp.com), which is especially good for restaurant reviews. They even have reviews of attractions.

Absolutely: tripadvisor.com.

As others have said, Tripadvisor.com is a great site. But not all of the reviews are accurate. Just like LuvTigger said, we've read some pretty crazy reviews. I read good review after good review of hotels that were absolute DUMPS once we got there (roaches and "personal items" left on the bed included). I really did wonder if we were staying at the same hotel as the reviews, and then I wondered if the reviews were just posted by the hotel staff to boost business. It was crazy!

Most reviews are pretty accurate, though, so I wouldn't worry too much. All in all it's a great site!
