My husband and I will be staying at the Coronado resort one night, after our May cruise.
I was wondering if there is a good Buffet that anyone could recommend for dinner?

Also,Can anyone go to any hotel restaurants? Or do you have to eat either in the parks or at the resort you are staying at?

Thanks!

I'm not sure anyone will have a favorable recommendation for any buffet based on the food. :rolleyes1

You can eat at any resort -- the restaurants are open to the general public.

As far as good buffet dinners for adults go, my favorite buffet meal in the parks is definitely Biergarten in Epcot's World Showcase. If you wanted to go to another resort, Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge has an awesome buffet dinner. I'm sure you'd love either one.

My dh and I go to a lot of the buffets! The food is good and we love it when we see characters. My adult kids think we are crazy but that is alright because what better way to be crazy! :) :) Yes anyone can go to the resort resturants---Disney counts on the fact that you will. :):)

The only buffet I have ever really enjoyed is Boma's at AKL. The rest of the buffets have been hit or miss.

You can go to any of the resorts, if you are staying on-site. My new fav lately is Kouzzina's at the BW, but I also really enjoy the Yachtman's Steakhouse at YC. I just am totally falling in love with the entire BW area.

I suggest Boma for a non-park buffet

I'd suggest Biergarten for a buffet inside the park

We like Biergarden in a park and Cape May's Clam Bake for a non park bufffet.

Thanks so much for the suggestions!
I have also read about the buffet in AKL,,I am thinking this may be the place for u s to try!
Thanks again!

You can go to any of the resort restaurants no matter where you are staying, onsite, offsite or if you are just driving down the road. There are no restrictions to dining in the resort restaurants. To eat in any of the parks, you need admission.

That said, I like Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge for the resort buffets & Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom for a Park buffet. I would recommend that you stay far away from Chef Mickey's.

If you like german food biergarten ( i don't and < not a fan )

Boma is always a favorite. Good choices, excellent soups - you can also go out to the viewing areas to see the animals on the savannah :thumbsup2

Cape May is also good - they have increased the price recently and have put crab legs on the menu

Have a great time :yay:

I have heard that Trail End's Buffet, in Fort Wilderness, is very good but I can't give you my opinion we never ate there. We've wanted to several times just never think of it! Last year we stayed at AKL and ate at Boma's for dinner and my parents and I didn't care for the African cuisine or the spices and seasonings they used, however my husband loved it - different strokes for different folks ;). They did have American on the buffet just not a lot.

Boma is excellent in our opinion. Different food choices. Definitely not your typical buffet. The soups are very good. You may also want to try 'Ohana at Poly. It is not a buffet but it is family style all you can eat. The atmosphere is almost like a luau. We love both Boma and 'Ohana.

Boma is one of our favorites and this year we tried Cape May for the first time and were really impressed. We are hoping to go back to both restaurants next year.

Also I do agree with PPs about Biergarten if you are looking for a buffet in the parks. The food is wonderful and I love watching the band. :goodvibes

Trails end is really good, and not as expensive as the others.

Cape May is another good suggestion.

We think the food is best at Boma but it is noisy there. Cape May's food is decent and it's quieter but Boma's food still comes out on top!

I don't mean to hijack your thread however is Tusker House a buffet? Saw it on Samantha Brown's special and it appeared to be one and looked great.
