I know there is a WOC picnic plan, but do they have a Fantasmic Package like at WDW? We'll be there on a Sat in July and would MUCH rather do the first show, but I'm guessing unless there is a way to get priority seating, we'd need to go an hour ahead of time??

Its not dinner, its a big box of desserts. It costs $59, and you get chairs right in front of the action.

Hmmm...do you think it's really worth it? How early do you need to show up for this? Are the desserts decent or sort of a waste? THanks!

You make your reservations exactly 30 days ahead of time with Disney Dining, and pick up your tickets at Town Hall (or at your hotel if you are staying onsite and Vacation Planning made the reservation for you.) Then, you line up at 8:00 to get your assigned seat. Some families line up really really early for this...the Dobies lined up at 7:30 last summer and got good seats. After you get your assigned seat, you can leave and have fun, and return a half hour or so before your show to get your dessert box and beverage. If you made reservations for the first show, you can stay in your seats for the fireworks.

The desserts are yummy, and more than you can eat in one sitting! There are also fruit and cheese in the box. One of the dining or fantasmic threads has pictures.

Whether it is worth it for you/your family really depends on your family. We have done this quite a few times and liked it a lot when we did it. When our kids were small and we didn't want to stake a spot out really early, it was very nice. Last summer it was ok...but our kids are now older and would be ok with just regular viewing.

It has also been great for us in the past when we had a large group (14 people) so we could all sit together comfortably.

We have done this a number of times and continue to do so. I do not like sitting on the asphalt during the summer and having to get there early, stake a spot and wait and wait and wait. Is anything worth it, just depends on what you want to leave your wallet into Disneys hands. I am a shareholder so go.
