Do we get discount for Memory Maker?

My SIL's family vacation will over lap with ours. Can we share 1 Memory Maker code? Do I give her my code to add to her MB?

Thanks

No member discounts.

If you pre-purchase on-line, it's $149. If you purchase at WDW, it's $199.

You can share one code. Just make sure that DSIL and her family are linked to your Friends and Family, and they have given permission for you to see their pictures. You will be able to see their photos as well as yours. Only one person enters the code in their profile. That person controls the Memory Maker account.

I'm not sure I see the value of paying $149 for Memory Maker vs. $69.99 for Photopass+. What am I missing?

There would be no value if you could purchase Photopass+ for $69.99. ;) What your missing is that PP+ is no longer available, and it was the same price that MM is now when they discontinued it.

You know what, I had a PhotoPass page bookmarked, but it was for DLR. That's why I was seeing a $69.95 pric. When I tried to go to the same WDW page, it redirected to Memory Maker. Oops. :)

And now that I think about it, when we purchased PhotoPass, it was $99 when purchased in advance. I hadn't done PP+ back then (2011). So this still seems like a price increase, but given that you can't purchase PP+ any more, I guess it is what it is.

We'll probably skip it this coming trip. Ticket prices are so expensive that e're going to only do five days at the parks and one day at Universal (to see Diagon Alley).

The current pre-visit price for the PhotoPass PhotoCD is $119.95.

Yup, and the one that includes the downloadable photos (all we cared about) was $149.95. But you got a $50 break if you bought in advance. But it looks like MemoryMaker was just hiding the price increase for the same features.

Photopass+ gave you all of your photos on one disc.

Memory Maker gives you all of your photos, plus all of the photos of any of your MDE friends/family who allow you to see their pictures. So if you're going with a huge group like a high school band trip to Disney it's a way to get everybody's pictures relatively cheap. It's a download, rather than a disc.

the $69 pre-purchase photopass plus at disneyland includes photopass pictures, all character dining except story tellers, and the ride photos. And the print out photo packages of all character dining. But it still uses the old disneyphotopass.com web site. The old web site still has all your photopass cards and history in it, and Aulani still uses the old website. But disney world now goes in to the my disney experience web page for photopass. So you can't split a photopass cd between disneyland and disney world anymore or between Aulani and disney world anymore. It's a magical perk the costs more money and doesn't have the benefits it used to.

so when we go to disney world next weekend for my son's birthday, I can buy a photopass for 2.5 days for $149 in advance or $199 there, but I can't combine it with the photopass plus I just got for four days in disneyland last week. But this summer I can go for three weeks and pay the same. But if we go one week and Disney World and one at Aulani I''ll have to pay twice. Thank goodness for this magical experience.
