Is there a Disney Store in Val d’Europe

Does anyone know if there is a Disney Store in the Val d’Europe Shopping Centre?

Yes there is, but it is called something else (can't remember what exactly). It is on the upper level near to the Auchan. Once upon a time, it used to get some great unusual pins that were hard to get in the resort. Now the merchandise is just as rubbish as the Disney Stores in the UK and the DLP resort.

Hi, we went last August and there was a small Disneystore, as you walk in to the shopping mall it was up in the top left hand corner. There wasn't really very much in there, only duplicates of everything we had already seen in the shops in Disneyland. Hope that helps

We went in there last August too and were also very disappointed. I was also very disappointed with the Disney Store on the Champs Elysees ~ I was hoping to be able to get some merchandise with Disney and Paris on (not DLRP) but there was absolutely nothing apart from a baby's bib.

My DD and I always say we should become the buyers for the Disney Store ~ we would soon start stocking what people want.

There is one but it only sells DLRP merchandise...we went looking for a Disney Store's Exclusive teddy and they dont have them there, just the normal stuff from DLRP

Believe it or not I know the answer to the 2nd one....it doesn't sell!
They used to do a range of clothing at the Disney Stores but it never sold...they got rid of a lot of it in around 2005/6 I beleive and there are no plans to bring anything back...at the moment. Princesses and Soft Toys sell more than anything else in the Disney Stores

I've just got an answer from him (I love text messages!)

Currently the Oxford Street Store in London is the largest Disney Store in Europe...they don't include the store at DLRP which is obviously far bigger as it is owned by Euro Disney SCA and not by the Walt Disney Company.

And to think the Oxford Street one is tiny compared to the old original Regent Street one that had the travel agent.

Yep, sadly, the Disney Store used to do men's clothes, kitchen equipment, office items, collectable art including film cells. Not it is an overpriced Toy Store that I pop into a few times a year tops, and only if there is a sale on.

When I was a broke teen when they opened in 1989, to think I could have litterly spent £10,000's of pounds, now that I can afford to shop there, there is nothing I want to buy (DLP too - only DL in California seems to have things I want).

Whilst I appreciate these may be the biggest selling items, I still don't understand why a merchandiser would reject such a large section of the market. I too remember when the Disney Stores sold the below

Sadly, unless you're under the age of 8 and are mad on HSM and Hannah Montana, there's nothing in the stores these days. No more snowglobes, no adult clothes except for Christmas when they bring out the dressing gowns and pyjamas, nothing for the home apart from a few mugs, bowls and tumblers. Last two times we have been to Southampton we've not even bothered to go. Never thought the day would come when I said that.

Agreed, I thought I would love everything (pretty much) Disney did for the rest of my life. I wish I did.

Well I feel lucky as I have a four year old daughter - and there is plenty for her in the Stores! We've (my friend and I) recently spent £200 in there on dresses/accessories a few gifts for friends that will not know the difference that it hasn't been bought in DLP and a couple of remote control "Wall-E" because they had £20 off lol.

Now when I go to DLP next month I will not have to buy anything for my daughter. It's all gift wrapped/boxed and looks lovely. Can't wait to see her in the outfits!

My son however is 13, and there is nothing for him as he doesn't like girls stuff obviously! He's too old for power rangers and as has been pointed out, there is nothing for "men" these days.

Oh well, I had fun anyway!!

On that basis, you can do even better at ASDA and Tesco on Disney merchandise and prices, and sometimes T K Maxx even get in the £45 and sell them for £11

I totally agree with you Elain, and with Dave.

His predecessor was kind of like the Eisner of the Disney Store. Cost cutting, lower quality and higher prices...stocking only stuff that appeals to the masses rather than Disney fans etc.

Slowly he is hoping to turn this around...the Bluewater store now do a very small range of women's t-shirts which is apparently a test to see how well they sell...iff successfull then they will be rolled out across the stores.

I, for one, am very glad that they have finally stocked Handy Manny items in the Disney Stores
