If so I need to join. I enjoy planning my vacations, but I think there becomes a time when I just need to stop. I'm been planning my June Disney trip since last July. I really couldn't plan much until December when park hours came our and my ADR window opened. But since then I've been obsessed with planning my days and where we're going to eat. I have changed things around several times and have made and canceled ADRs numerous times. I have a touring plans subscription and have made a lot of the personalized touring plans.
I'm happy with the plans I have now. But then I start thinking, what if we did this instead or what if we ate here or what if we ate earlier, later. I'm obsessed with planning and I need to STOP.
Anybody else feel this way too, or am I the only one?

I'm right there with you! And my obsession is just getting worse! I've been planning a family trip to California for June that includes DLR (of course!) and now I'm going to Orlando for a conference at the end of May so of course I'm adding a couple of days just for myself at WDW!

Yes, I'm a Disney addict!

Hello, my name is Ambiancetc and I haven't planned anything for my Disney trip in 5 hours :wave2:

Next week I pledge to make it 6 hours.

LOL - Me too. Going in June but thankfully, we only decided that last month so I've just been obsessing since January. I keep fiddling with plans (also on TP). The worst has been these last couple of days where I sat and wrote down posted wait times (from both Lines and the My Disney Experience App) every 10 minutes because the crowds looked to be similar to when I will be there. I wanted to compare my plans against the wait times they have been experiencing. I also went back to old Disboard posts and WDW Magic posts to re-read trip reports or other "while I was there" posts to remember the last few times we have gone.

It's pretty ridiculous. Also - I find myself bouncing from message board to message board reading those and then EasyWDW on top of that.... It has not been a real productive work week(s)... :guilty:

I am hoping to get a grip since I think my plans are all set but I know I will continue to tinker as the time gets closer.

I'd rather have a trip to obsess about, though, than not. Also, I really do find the planning to be so much fun. Not as fun as actually being there but still fun! :)

Joining in, We are not going until Christmas 2013 and I have the days planned and ADR ready to book in June:rotfl2:. The funny thing is I know I will need to change everything once hours are actually released. So much fun though!

Since the September operating hours came out this morning, I swear I have been agonizing and obsessing! I got a headache and decided to walk away from the planning.
Then... walked upstairs, turned on the computer and here I am!
I, too, am bouncing from DIS to EasyWDW. And if you're reading this Josh- please release your September recommended parks calendar so I can have yet one more thing to obsess over! :0

Plan your next trip for Christmas week. Plan all you want. Overplan. It will be so crowded that your plans will be thrown into turmoil, and probably won't work at all.

You'll be broken. Your next trip, you'll be more likely to go with the flow!

Yes! The last time went it was Christmas week and we had no idea what we were doing. Since planning this trip and stumbling across the message boards and easywdw I'm obsessed with making our experience better. I second guess my ADRs daily and am currently mapping the best transportation strategies. I'm getting nervous that I'm going to disappoint myself if I don't get it all right. I need to step away.

Me too! I'm obsessed!

I have already started planning out Dec 2014 trip. Our trip for 2013 is planned to the extreme. My husband is indulging me too much, I think. I keep saying "we should go to V&A's" or "let's have a cake delivered", or "let's do the pirate league" and he laughs and says "go ahead, this is what vacations are for".

Naive man. He has no idea how out of hand I'm going to get.

I need to join too. I booked in August last year for June of this year, real planning started in December and I pretty much think about this everyday.

I plan too much too :surfweb: I bought 4 guides to wdw and universal (don't worry none were more than $5, found them on sale), read forum post everyday, have argued with the DBF about appropriate shoes, hats, and SPF to wear at wdw. For valentine's I bought him chocolate and a brita water bottle---------for Disney (he really did like the bottle). I've gone over the deep end but at least I'm happy :rotfl:

Ooooh! Yes! I belong here! :thumbsup2 I have a hypothetical trip all planned out 1.5 years in advance. I have been updating my spreadsheets with dates, rates, airfare, and crowd levels. I NEED this:upsidedow It keeps me sane....somewhat ;) I also love reading easywdw, the DIS (of course), disney food blog, and wdwinfo. Don't even get me started about the guides!:lmao: I have recently discovered the Disney Park Bench series on Youtube...ahhhh heaven!!!!:thumbsup2

I'm always reading the boards.. seeing if any new restaurant ADR's have come available (and got it...'Ohana.. my favorite.. tried every day until a spot opened up).
Yes.. also have Touringplans....
As I write this... my husband has his Ipod connected to speakers listening to the Magic Kingdom Music loop....
Also going in June.
Glad to hear I'm not alone and part of the planning obsessed...
d.

Sooo glad I'm not the only one.. We go in August and I plan / change something everyday. It makes my ho - hum life just a little brighter everyday I'm actually worried about what happens when we get back?? Will I be depressed? What do you do to feel better? Planning another trip is not an option. It took us 5 years to save for this one :(

You know what? If it makes you happy and make the trip better, go for it! I did cry when we left, I was shocked....it's a big let down. Then I realized we are going to Miami next nov and we are going to hop up to Orlando for 2-3 days. Now I am happy again. I never thought I'd be like this about Disney!,,,,
