Is there a charge to split entrees?

DH and I have decided to do without the Dining Plan, and share entrees wherever possible on our next trip. Does anyone have experience and know if Disney restaurants add a surcharge to do this? We have found it's customary at local places where we live to be charged a small fee.

No, they do not charge. The only one I've heard of that charges a plate splitting fee is Shula's at the Dolphin, which is not a Disney restaurant.
