Is there a site that tells the best days to visit Universal, similar to the Touring Plans site that tells you how crowded Disney will be on any given day? Thanks.

Not really. People really dont spend that much time doing every little thing like disney fans do....The best times of year I can tell you, but exact days? Ehhh.....
For a lot of info on the parks try
ioacentralboards.com
and listen to
ioacentralradio.libsyn.com

Sunday morning is good because people are at church.
To me, it doesn't matter what day I go on, because I arrive the parking lot at 07:45am and I'm first to the gate. In the summer time, the park opens at 08:30am, although it's not written, just happens.

The best months to visit are February, and September. The parks have very light crowds at this time, but close at 6pm.

The "best days" with regard to crowds are pretty similar to those at Disney, just go to the special events section on the universal site to see when an unexpected weekend event might up the attendance for a couple of days. otherwise i've trusted those calendars and they're pretty accurate. My "absolute best" is right after Thanksgiving thru the first week or so in December. Equally good is the last three weeks of January up to just before president's day weekend in February. Last week of April thru most of May is a little hotter but also very low crowds. And September is hot but also low attendance. Hope this helps!

Hi

What is your theme park attack plan? We are 4 adults (siblings) going in early Feb. to US ranging in age of 45 - 60. We will go to Adventure Islands one day, the Studio the next day.
What do you recommend we should try first? We are not big coaster fans.
I thought the Mummy might be too much for us but now that I have read more about it, it might be fun.

When you talk about months, February, and September are the best months. The parks are a ghost town.
February is my favorite month. Temps are 55-75. You'll need two shirts in the morning, or a jacket. In the afternoon, you can take off the jacket.

Don't let the light crowds fool you. For some reason, people who go at off peak times feel weird about going thru an empty park. It's as if they think no one cares about the park, but they're wrong. Ignore this and enjoy all the rides. You can take a lap of walk on rides. In the afternoon, the park comes to life and the wait times are 20 minutes. So enjoy the early morning short wait times.
