We made ressies at the Yatchsman Steakhouse (2 adults, 1 child). Is it really worth 2 credits each?

We ate there on the DP last year & it was really good. I had lobster bisque, a 24oz porterhouse steak with potato & creme brulee for dessert. DH had a caesar salad, the same steak & some sort of ice cream thingy for dessert. Our bill came to $120 before tip. Four friends we dined with- their bill came to $250 before tip, so yes it felt good to sign our name & walk out the door. We are trying to decide whether or not to return this May. We have been many times & are TRYING to go to different places. I would say it is worth it if you think you might have some extra credits left. My mouth is watering!!

We plan to try them during our May trip. We also plan to try Narcossee. We have done the DDP many times now and are trying to find other ways to use the TS credits. Eating a big dinner every night is just too much, so thought we would do a couple of the 2TS just to give us a couple of night breaks.

We thought it was worth it, but we paid OOP for my entree. That worked out great except for one thing....my husband's $42 steak looked a whole lot better than my $28 chicken. Next time we are going to use all 4 DDP credits for this place. We both really enjoyed it. Plus after eating at so many restaurants that were crowded and loud, it was a nice change. And we even enjoyed getting dressed up for it!

My husband & I ate there on our last trip using the DDP. For us it was well worth it! Our steak was the best! Our server was very, very good, too; we left her an extra tip. My husband has a seafood allergy & he head chef came out to speak to him about what he could & could not order - very thorough.

DW and I dined there in September 2006, using DDP. We enjoyed the Yachtman's steaks however the value wasn't worth 2 TS credits each, in our opinion.

She had the House Salad, T-Bone Steak and the Sorbet Trio, while I had the Scallop Appy, New York Strip Steak and the Creme Brulee. Everything was cooked perfectly, however upon leaving we both agreed we had better meal values at LeCellier.

we do this every time, and since the meal plan it has worked out great. We don't eat big dinners everynight so it is nice to use the TS credits. Which ever way you decided, enjoy yourselves!!!:)

I'm still trying to decide about it. My DH was drooling when he read they had a 24 oz porterhouse. I honestly don't know how anyone could eat that much meat. I don't think he could, but I guess he could give it the old college try!! :lmao: I read the dessert menu for children. It says they have a white chocolate paint dessert. My dd would love that. I wonder if they will change those desserts to the same standard fruit or ice cream, too. If they did that, we would be disappointed. It would be nice to eat one place that allowed her to have some more interesting things.

I think it is worth it. We went in August and the meal was excellent! It was the only request that my DS had for our January trip. He works in a resort that has a Schulas in it and he thought that the steak at the YSH was much better.
