Is the Tea Party only available at 5PM?

Have just rang the restaurant reservations line who said that the Tea Party at Pizza Planet is only available at 5PM. Seems a little late!! Is this correct?

thats what i hear too... bit daft isnt it! quite late for lots... but guess you then get to see once upon a dream at 4-4.30 ish first

From what I understand, there always was a 5pm sitting - it was the 2nd sitting. Now they appear to have dispensed with the 3.30pm one, and stuck with the 5pm one.

As Holly says though, at least at 5pm you'll have seen the Parade, and it gives you a chance for a good long sit down in the warm after racing about the parks most of the day

When I booked both tea parties for when we go in December (yes we are doing both the birthday tea party at Lucky Nugget and the tea party at Pizza Planet, we love character dining we live in Australia with no disney near by, so when we do a disney trip we kind of overdose on character dining ), I booked through the hotel reservations department as I added both of these tea parties to our hotel booking. The guy on the phone said we were booked into the first sitting at 3.30pm, it appeared that the 5.00pm sitting was not available. I said, thats great, any time is fine, infact we would prefer the 3.30pm so we are not bothered that the 5.00pm is not available.

The next day I called the dining reservations department to book our other meals and I just happened to mention when making a reservation that on that day we have the tea party at 3.30pm. He said no, there isn't a tea party anymore at 3.30pm, I said, um yes there must be as I have booked it. He said, definately not! There used to be when the tea party was at Plaza Gardens but now that they have moved, there is only a 5.00pm .

So...... I flew into a panic thinking that we don't actually have a booking and wondering what on earth this guy had booked the day before if there was no 3.30pm anymore and he said 5.00pm was not available . So I called the hotel reservations straight away and got the same guy as the day before. I said to him that he said the tea party was at 3.30pm and that is what he had booked for us, as he had told us that 5.00pm was not available and he said yes thats right . So I told him that I had just spoken to the dining reservations department and they said that there was no longer a 3.30pm tea party only a 5.00pm, so what exactly have we booked? He went away and when he came back he said "oh yes, there is no longer a 3.30pm, you are booked in for the 5.00pm. He said I just booked you into the first sitting as there was not a second sitting showing available, the 3.30pm used to be the first sitting but now the 5.00pm is called the first sitting. So we were booked in into the first and only sitting now at 5.00pm

Now I'm officially confused, I thought the Plaza Gardens Tea Party had moved to Pizza Planet, is the Lucky Nugget also a Tea Party now ?
I hope not, we love the LN and my son wants his Birthday celebration meal in there in March, but we want the traditional Tex Mex Buffet and I was planning to order a surprise Birthday cake.

They still do the character lunch at the Lucky Nugget Jill - but they also do one of the tea parties at 5pm (ie after the character lunch has finished for the day).

We have done a PG Tea Party before and it was OK, but I'd prefer a "proper" meal and DS wants to go there because he loves the pasta, apparently it tastes different to the other restaurants
