NY Stock Market is closed, banks in NYC are open.

Yes to the market, and I don't know about banks. My credit union is closed today, though.

yes - and considering I work for a financial company and am at work - i'm ticked.

SOME banks are closed...not all - they have the option

Personally, I wish they'd switch out Good Friday for the day after Thanksgiving, but I'll take any day off I can get!

post office was open when we went by. mail is being delivered today.

I got mail today so they are "open". Banks can't be closed for two business days in a row so the day after Thanksgiving is out, federal law that goes back to the stock market crash.
