Is the Palo Brunch really worth it?

We already reserved a dinner at Palo on the last night of our 4 night Wonder Cruise. So I was wondering if reserving the Palo brunch is really necessary. How good is it? Is it something I will regret if I miss? Eating at Palo for a brunch and then a dinner on the same night might be too monotonous. :confused3

Palo brunch is the best meal on the ship. Definatley go..the food served at brunch and dinner are completely different.

Yes to the first question above. And YES! to the second.

If given a choice, I'd pick the brunch before the dinner. (Though I LOVE the dinner.) DH and I are paying premium price to book the REAS package just so we can secure the Palo brunch ressie. :teeth:

Don't miss it. You'll be soooooorrrrrrrrryyyyyyy! ::yes::

You dont need to pay the extra money for REAS to book the brunch. We dont have REAS but I just went online and reserved the brunch at Palo.

Good for you!

Honestly, the Palo brunch is my FAVORITE meal on DCL! I don't want to spoil all of the surprises, but some of my favorites (I'm a sweets nut) were the lemon meringue pie, and the 'stollen' with berries and whipped cream. Their pizza is also to die for! Be sure to post a trip report once you return to tell how well you liked it. :flower:

Palo Champagne Brunch is a must! :teeth:

TONS of food, tons of champagne cocktails, great services, and a great view!

I'm wondering now that if more less people will stop booking REAS since one of the main benefits was the early ressies for spa and Palo? Or maybe they should lower the price for REAS now that some of the benefits dont matter.

Is it wrong that I DREAM :cloud9: about the Palo brunch??????? You WILL regret it if you miss the brunch...While you are there, eat some berries and cream for me :goodvibes

REAS still allows you to book earlier than most guests. If you have REAS you can book 105 days out compared to Castaway Club members (90 days) and regular guests (75 days).

Definitely do the brunch and the dinner. I can hardly wait to go again. They were the best meals and the service was phenomenal for both. :flower:

I agree, the brunch was awesome as so was dinner!! We did them on seperate days though. Our server was great,I asked if I could bring a piece of pizza back for our DD. He said he would have the chef make a new pizza!! We also did'nt have room for dessert so he offered us to bring the desserts we wanted back to our room. It was great have the desserts back in our room later. :goodvibes
And our DD loved her pizza!! Of course we left a great tip.We love Palo!!

On our first cruise in 2001 we did both the lunch and dinner at Palo. For us dinner was OK but the Brunch was FABULOUS. I have already told my DH for our July 2006 cruise that as long as we get the brunch during our cruise I will be a happy girl:) One of the things we really liked about the brunch is that it is during the day hours so you can see the water, the blue skies, the sun etc. At night it was all dark you couldn't see outside at all. Book Palo's and you won't regret it!!

I did the brunch twice, the first time it was awesome and I couldn't wait to go back. I went back this past November, and it was jut OK...I won't be going again. The cinnamon buns were awesome, but I won't go just for them. I do like the dinner though...chocolate soufle, need I say more??

I must be the only one who had a bad experience. The server knocked over glasses, spilled orange juice all over our plates and table, spilled champagne in the process, did not replace the juice or the champagne, then left the sopping napkins wadded on the table (did not replace table cloths either). Then was scarce and did not bring one entree out until about half an hour after the others. Some at our table did not drink alcohol, so she asked if she could bring cappacino or something instead. Then charged extra for the things brought "instead." She did bring a dry cleaning voucher for the person who got juice in his lap.

It was not a fine dining experience and we have not gone back on return cruises.

We had a wonderful meal and great server. We have also eaten at Palo's for dinner, but the brunch was wonderful. I would do both.

We are definately going to try the brunch and dinner. What is your opinion about high tea and is it worth it?

I just booked Palo brunch for our 5/15 cruise and can't wait. There are 11 of us cruising 6 adults and 5 kids. I was able to book for all 6 of us online(LOVE the new website). We decided to skip dinner at Palo so we could have dinner every night with the kids. They love restaurants and eating out plus without knowing your dining rotation it makes it a guessing game. I was really hoping for the chocolate souffle but I guess we'll just have to try it on the next cruise ;) ;) ;) ;)

Yes, Yes, Yes! Don't miss it! In fact, if I could only choose between Palo dinner or Palo brunch, I'd pick the brunch! :flower:
