Is the Oasis Patio at the Poly a good choice?

We are staying at the Poly for our first time in July. It's a resort-only stay so I was thinking about reserving an oasis patio but wondering if it's really worth it. Doesn't seem like it's really as neat as the cabanas at the other resorts..... It's be me, DH, 17 yo DD and 16 yo DD. Thoughts from those who have stayed at Poly?

We've done it before and would do so again. The price is pretty reasonable for a full day but that's because it's not actually a cabana experience like at other resort pools, no cooler with drinks, snacks, etc. Just seating. But the seating is very comfortable with good shade. You can get service delivered to you from the Oasis Bar & Grill, which is what we did for lunch. Even the Oasis pool can get crowded in the heat of summer so I still think it's worth it for a guaranteed base on a pool day.

We had reserved one for our late Summer trip and they did leave a basket of snacks (chips/pretzels) I believe. I think for the price (less than a cabana), it's great to have a designated spot with comfy seating and as pp said, the server from Oasis Pool Bar normally will take orders for the patio people. We enjoy it.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll reserve one for one of our days, then! Be a fun little addition to our stay. Assuming you cannot reserve them until 60 days out?

For us the issue was that our kids wanted to be at the lava pool primarily. I think the oasis patios would be great shade and a nice place to sit. It just depends where you think you’ll want to be. Our daughter was 6 on our last trip so we needed to keep an eye on her.

Great point. Our girls are older and just want to get as tan as possible.... and read. Plus since we'll be there for 5 days, this will just be one of those. I doubt they would've enjoyed it as littles.

We rented the Lava patio space last week. Surprisingly it was available day of and was a great way to spend our check out day.
The cost was $106(ish). I actually thought it was a great price for comfortable furniture, cooler full of pop and 12 bags of chips. The shade wasn’t great in the area (we are Canadian and love our shade) so next time we will try for the Oasis pool.

I'm pale as a ghost so shade is my friend as well! How much of the day were you without shade? Were you able to move the furniture around to try and chase the shade a bit?

Can you send me any kind of link with info on that please? ♥️

Parts of the area were always in the shade , you just had to move a bit. The furniture can move but the umbrellas can’t. We were a larger crowd so a few of us were always in the sun. If you’re 2-4 people you could have full shade for the whole day.

Perfect! Thank you for the info. We're only 4 and realistically the kids will mostly be in the pool so we should be good then.

With just ONE at the lava pool, I imagine that it books crazy fast! Any tips?
No tips, we went around 10am on the day of when we realized it would be a good way to spend our checkout day and shockingly it was available. Not sure if we got lucky with a cancellation or what it was.

My sister is going next week and tried to book one but they are all sold out (oasis and lava). She’s going to keep checking back.
