Is the new Stitch ride a roller coaster ?

My kids love Lilo & Stitch.

ride description:
Stitch's Great Escape! will debut in 2004, replacing ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter (which has now closed). The new Tomorrowland attraction will showcase the "fun mayhem" caused by "Experiment 626" when first discovered by the Galactic Federation. The Grand Councilwoman will recruit members of the audience to provide additional security for the captured alien.

ExtraTERRORestrial was dark, fast & scarey.

How is the new Stitch ride rated ?

Is it a roller coaster ?

From my understanding, the new Stitch ride is NOT a rollercoaster. It looks to be the same as ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter. Basically, you go sit in chairs in a room with a transport machine in the middle that the alien gets transported into and accidentally escapes. The whole thing takes place in those seats and you don't ever move. At least that's how I remember the ride. Anyone else??

AE is not fast-not a rollercoaster. You sit still and do not move. You must be confusing it with something else.

Just agreeing with the others.
AE was dark, but the seats never moved. They did have shoulder restraints, which may remind people of a roller coaster, but the shoulder harnesses held some of the special effects (alien breath, alien spit) and moved down on your shoulders to make it feel like the alien was walking above you.

The room it all takes place in is a circular theater with seats placed around the room on wide steps and the "show" in the very center of the room. Actually the main plan of the theater has been the same since the building opened, when it held "Journey to Mars". They sort of just re-decorated it.
