I am wondering if Universal/IOA are doing "soft openings" for the new ride the Mummy? If any one has tested the ride what did you think about it and why? I have read that this ride is supposed to be better than Spider Man but I haven't heard much about the ride.

Does any one have any additional info about the ride as well?

Thank you!:wave2:

The mummy has had it's soft openings and now closed until the grand opening, though there's a slight possibility it might have another mini one before the big day. Lots of people have ridden it and given their views. If you go to pages 2,3 4 etc... of this forum - you can read all the talk.:D

Negative. It is not better than Spider-Man. Spider-Man is not better than Mummy, either. They are both separate enteties and should be treated as such.

Spider-Man is amazing because it combines 3D with simulation and is on a dark ride track. Spider-Man also has somefire and water effects.

Mummy is amazing because it combines both dark ride and rollercoaster elements, has animatronics AND cgi screens, plus flame effects, water effects, blacklight effects, and flesh eating scarabs.

Some people like Mummy better, some like Spider-Man better. It's all a matter of preference.

And some people like Storm Force Acceletron better!!! Ummm..... or not :jester:

I am hoping but not counting on Mummy being open May 13th-16th.... doubt it, but hoping! LOL

Edited to add... I am even bringing my lap top with me in case I read n here that Mummy is open on the days we are at WDW... I would fly back over faster than Spidey!
