Is the mexican restaurant El Pirata y el Perico counter service restaurant in MK by Pirates closed for good? We went there 2 different days a few weeks ago, and both times it was totally closed and a sign said to go to Peco Bills.

Wow, I hope not. That place has, IMHO, the best counter service food in MK. :(

It was also closed when we were there in early April. One of our favorite places to eat at the World, only hope they didn't close it permanently.

Is it not one of the restaurants that is opened seasonally.

What is the name of this restaurant?

Is that the El Pirata y el Perico counter service restaurant? They have a great Taco Salad! :)

It was closed in March, too. I really wanted to eat there, but ended up at Columbia Harbour House, which was great, so I guess nothing lost, nothing gained!

WOW I hope not. We have a tradition that we take a pic, eating a taco each time we go. I'll be really bummed to see it closed on our next trip.

Any on have any other news on this ? I will be there soon and one of the things on my Dis meet agenda is to eat here.. Thanks Michelle

I really hope that this restaurant hasn't closed down.

I was there in May and the park map said that it was open seasonally...I wouldn't worry.

Yes, it has gone back to Seasonal operation. They did this a couple of years ago. Not sure of the reasons, but suffice it to say that No, it is not closed for good.

Thanks Steve. Do you know when seasonal ends? We'll be there the last week of August and I always get a taco there. :D

This restaurant was closed during our vacation at the end of August 2001 - but then we were there also at the beginning of September(went for 2 weeks) and I can't remember whether we tried to visit at the beginning or at the end of our vacation. I suppose September would be classed as low season.

I wonder when the "season" will begin. We were there last week and it was closed. But we noticed when we were in AK that Flame Tree BBQ was open.
