Can you guys sell me on this strolller? I know a lot of people swear by it, but is it really worth $150. They don't sell them where I'm at so I will have to order it online and can't try it out. I have a fairly tall 2.5 year old and a five year old, that's one reason I might want to try this one. Since it would support his weight if he needs to sit down for a few minutes while DD is walking. Mostly I just want DD to be comfortable in it, she's pretty long legged and it doesn't look like it has much of a foot support. Any input would be really helpfull and if anyone has suggestions for the best place to order it that would be great too. Thanks!!!:)

I too would like to know!

I have been looking at the Mac Triumph and the Peg P3 or Aria strollers.

I looked at both Albeebaby and ToysRUs. I think ToysRUs had a better price on the MacTriumph.

We have one. While I am not crazy about how it folds, or pushing the seat up to use the basket.... It did survive Antigua, Guatemalas cobblestone roads everyday for 7 days.

hi. we don't have that mac, but we have the mac twin traveler. i thought we were nuts and second guessed myself the first year we had it. then we went to disneyworld and i decided it was the BEST money we spent on ANY baby item for either of our two kids. worth it even if we had only had the stroller for that week alone!!!

Thanks for the replies! This board has been a huge help to me, but that was my first post so I was so excited someone responded. :lmao: I also wanted to add that we would just be buying this for our disney trip since we have a Graco that DD loves for everyday use and we aren't planning on having any more little ones. I think our stroller would be to big and bulky to carry on Disney transportation though. Has anyone tried bringing a regular stroller (not an umbrella)? On the one hand I figure we would be paying almost as much to rent one for 8 days as we would to buy this (darn the disney rate hikes), but on the other hand it just seems crazy for an umbrella stroller. DD definitely needs a stroller though as she will try to take off if not confined!

I have a Quest - and I would recommend it over the Triumph. My observations - the seat is deeper from the front of the seat to the back on it than the Triumph. I bought it just for Disney but it has been worth every penny. Also check out albeebaby.com - there were several discounted Maclarens the last time I looked.

I have the quest because I wanted the cute print, didn't buy it until my son was 3 1/2 and it was the BEST $200 every spent!!! He is tall and was getting too heavy for a regular stroller for it to push nicely (about 33 lbs at the time), now he is 5 1/2 and 42 lbs and still LOVES it! I am the one saying we don't need a stroller! We bought it mainly for our disney trips and was worth every penny. I got it albeebaby and was completely satisfied. Ebay also has good deals (one of the dealers sells on ebay the old stock).

I have to chime in with everyone on the Quest. I bought it for my 2 yr. for Disney and couldn't have been happier with it. When son #2 came along, we got a Twin Techno. Although it seems to be disproportionately heavier than the single Quest, it still folds up easily and is light enough for me to carry it and a child onto the buses. (DSs are now 5 and 3 and still love it.) I got both of mine from albeebaby.com and would highly recommend them.

I had a graco regular sized stroller for DD and we took it the past 2 years for our WDW trip. This year we bought the Triumph for our trip. DH went with us for the first time last year and he said the worst part of his trip was having to fold and lug the stroller. He helped me pick out the Triumph and was happy with the way it folded up and the shoulder strap for carrying it. I hope the raves are true about this stroller. We will see in 14 days when we go back to WDW.

If you are buying the Maclaren Triumph, www.toysrus.com has them for $159.99. I think that is the best price I have seen.

www.albeebaby.com has the older models in pink for cheeper, also the MacQuest.

Pixeldust Fairy please update the thread when you return!

I have both a Quest and a Triumph and love them both. I took the Quest to Disney this fall and it was great in the parks and airports since it folds up very nicely.
My friend who came to disney with me also had a quest for her DD (5). she took naps in it when needed and had plently of room to stretch out.
I know people think they are too light weight and tip easy but you need to remember they are umbrella strollers and are not meant for you to put large bags on the back.
We are heading to Disney again in august and my quest will be coming again

We have a Triumph and I LOVE it. I have never regretted the price for one minute. It is a pain sometimes to push the seat up to get to the basket, but it isn't horrible. It pushes so perfectly and the handles are high enough to push for me.

You can sometimes find last years model or print for a cheaper price as well.

I also have the quest and LOVE IT!! I bought mine at www.bestbuybaby.com. Just a little note..if you buy the quest, the 2007 models don't have a carry shoulder strap (just a small carry handle on the side), and they have seperate break locks on each wheel. The 2008 model has the shoulder strap and a one foot connected parking break. Babies R us (and I'm assuming Toys R us) sell the 2007 models. I didn't notice this until I bought the 2007 quest at Babies R us, and then saw the 2008 model. I returned the 2007 model and purchased the 2008 model. I think it was about a $10 difference in price. May not be a big deal to you, just thought I'd let you know. Anyway, I have a graco quatro tour, a graco quatro tour duo (double), a jeep umbrella stroller, and now the Quest. Out of all of them, the Quest is my favorite!!!!! SOOO easy to push!! I can easily push my dd with one hand while carying my ds with the other arm. I've also found the basket underneath to be pleanty big to carry diapers, wipes, sippy cups, a change of clothes, ect... Oh, and on the Quest there is a pouch on the back of the canopy that is perfect for a walet, keys, a sippy cup, and some napkins (all at the same time). Anyway, if you are even thinking about it, I would sooooo buy it. You won't be disapointed!!!

I know it can seem odd to read all of the pro Mac voices on this board, but I have to admit that I am a convert.

We have 4 kids and we have owned many makes and models of strollers through the years. I resisted buying a Mac because the price just seemed too much and I was bothered by the tipping issue. With a young baby I do prefer a bigger stroller, but when our youngest was 2 1/2 we purchased a Triumph.

We have found it to be a great stroller...love how it pushes and the foldingand the strap for carrying! However, we did add a weight to the front of the stroller (velcros on for easy removal) and that helps on mall trips with the tipping issue. We leave the weight off when we travel and have to carry the stroller, but the extra weight is no biggie when just taking the stroller in and out of our mini van at home.

Our dd is 3 1/2 and she fits well in the stroller, and in Disney our 7 year old will occasionally take a ride. This stroller has been awesome on Disney trips. Not only does it work well with the buses at Disney, but also in the airport when you have to close up the stroller for security and for getting checking.

We have no regrets that we bought this stroller, and like so many others wish I had bought a Mac sooner.

I love mine. My 4 year old is big so his head hit the canopy of most other strollers. He fits great in the Triumph, and so does his 6 year old brother when he needs a little break. I absolutely love how small it is when it folds up and the shoulder strap to carry it. It makes it so easy to get on trams, buses, etc.

and bought Maclaren from ToysRUs online. The raincover is an excellent feature for Disney because summer showers frequently strike. People kept asking me where I got my raincover! The harness is really great for our active 15 month old. The should strap is a big perk on the crowded buses. Once we got our Maclaren, DH wanted to throw the Graco that ruined his first two trips to Disney away!

I love my Maclaren Triumph. I travel a lot on my own with DS (14 months now) - including 10 days in Disney last month. I would not have survived without it. It is so easy to push, so easy to fold, easy to carry, etc. There were times I was on the bus, standing room only, with DS, bag and stroller. Without this stroller, there is no way I could have managed. I've had other strollers, but none compare for me. I did think the Quest would be better for DS, but when it came down to it, he slept just fine in the Triumph in the park - he took about 1 - 2 hr naps/day in the stroller without any trouble - and he never naps in the stroller at home.

However, there are things that are not convenient - the tippiness, access to the basket. But, since I travel alot, the pros make the Maclaren worth it for me. I also invested in a gate check bag to keep it a littler safer when we travel.

I LOVE the Triumph! Money very well spent. My son is comfortable and I can easily push it - very lightweight, but very sturdy. My husband gave me grief for spending so much on an "umbrella" stroller, but after 3 days in NYC, he LOVED it! It is so easy to fold and very compact. It held up to miles of pushing down busy city streets. We are taking it to Disney in October! Shop on line for it, lots of patterns gte discontinued and the price drops. I just fell in love with the frey and orange, so I paid a premium for it....oh well! Good luck!

I have the Quest and it is worth every penny!! We also had the Volo for our oldest DD for Disney trips, but needed a reclining stroller for newest DD(8 mos now). We love the Macs. They are so easy to push and lightweight too. I ordered my first one because they dont sell them in stores here either, but I was very happy with my decision to purchase online.
