Is the Lowepro Passport Sling too big to take on rides?

You might try asking this on the Theme Parks and Strategies Board since you want to use it for both park and camera gear. There is also a Photography board, but I would try the Theme Parks board first.

I don't know but is a very nice bag. Could you just get on the ride with the bag cross your body?

It may depend on what type camera you have in it along with how much gear and lenses.

I use something very similar at Disneyland and only have to take it off for over the shoulder harness rides like Space Mountain. I put it between my legs and it doesn't move at all-caries my Canon 7D and 3 lenses. Love the quick in and out access. For most rides I can move it so its on my belly/side.

I have that same exact bag, except in black. I took it to WDW a couple of weeks ago. I was able to carry it onto all of the rides. A few times I used the net bag, but mostly I just sat it on the floor and looped the strap over my leg. Sometimes I just left it on my shoulder. Soarin' is the only ride where I was specifically told to put it in the net bag under the seat. It did fit, but just. I had it packed fairly full, enough to expand the zipper compartment on the end.

As an added note, you might want to consider modifying the outside pockets before you go. Since they have no closures, they're kind of worthless for carrying anything except for a park map, etc. I bought some stick-on velcro, and I'm going to put that on the outer pockers.

If you go to SeaWorld and ride their coasters, you'll have to put the bag in one of the free ride lockers, unless someone in your party can keep it for you.
