Is the KSC closed on launch days?

Just curious as the current date for the next launch (Wednesday) has been on our schedule as our rental car day and visit to KSC. I saw on the web site they are closed Dec 25 and certain launch days but nothing specific.

We were there a couple of years ago on lauch day. They were open but certain areas were shut down for that day or were shutting down early. You als do have the oppurtunity to purchase a pass to get you closer to the launcg pad to see the the launch but it is not refundable if they abort the launch that day. Hopefully this helps but again this is going on what we experienced a couple of years ago. Before the Columbia incident.
