Is the Jammin Jungle parade worth seeing?

This is the one parade we haven't seen (other than MK's x-mas one). It's at 4 pm and we have 5:30 ADRs all in the MK area. Is it worth trying to change our reservations to see it?

We LOVE it.

See it every trip (maybe twice).

It's a fun, high energy parade...Worth seeing...we have seen it the last 4 trips.

Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade is my second favorite parade at WDW behind Spectromagic, and I think it's by far the best of the afternoon parades. It's unique and has great music that'll get you moving. :cool1:

As to whether you should change your ADRs to accomodate it, well, that's really up to you. Sorry, too indecisive. :ccat:

I just luv it! If your ADR is not a "must do" for you then I would suggest changing it as this parade is far better IMO than Share a Dream. I really feel like this parade is upbeat and imaginative. If you have children and they enjoy other parades...I would bet that they would love this one! :thumbsup2

it's my fave, too. can your adr's be changed easily? are you driving? you wouldn't really be that late for them if you watched the parade from the closest spot to the exit and were driving....

Jungle Jammin' is our FAVORITE parade!!! It and Spectro are the only parades that I CAN'T miss when we go!!!

Right up there with the Great Wall of China! LOL! Kidding aside, we love it - totally upbeat, and as someone else said, it'll make you happy!

No, we will not be driving. I'm thinking of changing the ADR to Boma's to be closer, but I have to give up either Ohana's or LTT. Hard choices!

We missed MJJ parade the last time we were there (people we were with didn't like parades . . . :confused3  ). We REALLY felt cheated--we just love this parade.

Mmm. I have never actually caught this parade either. I guess I will definitely have to try for the next time!

What is it about this parade that makes it so good and worth sticking around for aside from the music? How are the floats? I ask because I generally like Disney parades, but don't know a whole lot about this one. And last, my party's youngest is 18, aside from my 9 month old nephew. Will this appeal to us without seeing it through the eyes of kids? I will say that I loved Parade of Dreams at Disneyland, so if anyone has seen both, I'd appreciate a comparison.

But if I visit the Great Wall of Chine after seeing the Jammin' Jungle Parade will I be disappointed? :teeth: I'm serious now -AK is my favorite park and we're always so exhausted after spending a whole morning there we've never stayed for the parade. This year, I'm not going to miss the parade!

Absolutely see it! It is our favorite afternoon parade! But, I wouldn't change your ADRs if they are set for 5:30. Get a spot to watch the parade near the start in Africa. Our favorite spot is on the pathway right outside the baby care/first aid stations. There is a little store here as well. You can watch the parade as it exits through the gateway and bridge to Africa. At the end of the parade, follow it out and head straight to the exit. Then, take a bus to the Poly for dinner at 'Ohana. Probably would not be able to get to LTT in a decent timeframe. It will be close, but if you are late, you shouldn't be too late. It really will just depend on how long you have to wait for a bus at AK. 'Ohana is our favorite non-character dinner and LTT is our favorite character dinner. So, you can see why I would encourage you not to change those. We really did not like Boma but that's because neither of us are very adventurous about the food we eat.

Adults make up a huge percentage of the population of WDW guests.

As a childless couple, we've never NEEDED to use "kids" as an excuse or a "measure" to judge the quality or enjoyment of Disney.

Does, for instance, "Beauty and the Beast on Stage" or "Muppetvision 3D" need to be judged through the eyes of kids?

Walt Disney said from the beginning that he wanted to build a place (Disneyland) that could be enjoyed by all ages (together). That theme has been carried on in all of the Disney parks.

To say that WDW is a primarily place for children is usually voiced only by folks who have NEVER BEEN there and are unfamiliar with the general superior quality that Disney parks and live shows offer, regardless of a guest's age.

Yes, "Playhouse Disney" and the "play areas" ARE specifically for kids... but most other shows and attractions can be enjoyed at different "levels" of sophistication.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is a HOOT!

:thumbsup2 I was just saying to my DD tonight that we have to get to the AK parade again soon. It just makes me happy! It's Jammin'!! We get to AK the least of all the parks due to the early closing time.

The Jamin Jungle parade is extremely different from other parades. It has offbeat/African kind of music, guys walking around holding large strange-looking things, no "floats" that I remember, except a truck or something with characters on it.

I find it boring, and I love parades. If I were going to skip a parade, this would be the one.

...but that's just me.

Parades I like, in order:

SpectroMagic
Magic Kingdom parade (whatever it is)
MGM parade
Electrical Water Pageant (not a parade really, but sorta)
