Here is what I found about a month ago.......
Well now's your chance. The first song you heard is from the 1. 'Jalan Kopo' album by Sabah Habas Mustapha. It's titled, "Jalan Kopo". Songs number two and six are from 'East Wind' by Uttara-Kuru. "Our Life" and "Falling Through a Cloud", respectively. The third and fourth songs are from 'Tierra de Nadie', "Busindre Reel" and "Gaviotes" by Hevia. The fifth song is from the Cusco album, 'Apurimac, Vol. 2: Return to Ancient America' titled, "Tula". The final two tracks you may or may not have heard (depending on how early they started the pre-show music). They're both from 'Nordic Roots: Northside Sampler', "Bierdna (The Bear)" by Hedningarna and "Texas" by Wimme. Incidentally, that last album provided music for their original pre-show music which ran from 1999-2004.
If you were one of the many that saw the show during its original run from 1999-2004, there is a different music list that they used. Here is the original listing. Track one is from the album, "For Your Blue Eyes" by Yehuda Poliker. The song is titled, "They Were Dancing Barefoot". Unfortunately, this album is not easily obtainable, but that track alone is worth the effort. Track two is from the album, 'Folk 'N' Hell: Fiery New Music From Scotland' titled, "Superwasp / Along the Coast of Norway / Neckbuster" by Seelyhoo. Track three is off of the 'Blood of the Land' album by Burning Sky, titled, "Native Funk". Tracks four and seven are from the Cusco album, 'The Best of Cusco' titled, "Flute Battle" and "Montezuma" respectively. Track five is "The Concertina Set" by Burach from 'Weird Set'. Tracks six and eight are off of the previously mentioned "Nordic Roots: Northside Sampler" album titled, "Imeland" by Groupa and "30-Års Jiggen (30 Year Jig)" by Väsen. Track nine is "Inca Dance", again by Cusco, from their 'Apurimac' album.
I can not remember what site this was, but I got it from off the DIS to get there.
