Hi I booked the hojo for Feb 27 thru March 3 for a mom/DS4 only trip. I found Anaheim Plaza Inn and Suites for $42 cheaper, is the Hojo worth it? I took advantage of the entertainment rate, but they didn't have one for the 27th. I have only stayed at the hojo once many years ago and have never stayed at the Anaheim Plaza, just hoping someone had some insight! Thank you so much!

I would say yes if the kids get to use the pool area. Otherwise, maybe not. :( We didnt get any sleep because the pipes in our room coming from upstairs sounded like a huge growling monster. But the kids pool area was awesome!!!

IMHO :cheer2: it is totally worth it. The rooms are clean, they have excellent customer service. You don't have to worry about your stuff while you are gone. Your next to several restaurants that range in price.
They are so accommodating with anything you might need. I will be there the March 2 - 6. If I am not mistaken you are closer then the other hotel too. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. If you are worried about noises call in and put a request for building 1. They will tell you that they can't promise you but if they can do it they will. :thumbsup2

42$ more for the entire stay? I would say hojos is worth the $ they have decent coffee in room if you like your morning cup like I do, it saves me 3$ at the park everyday. Not sure if Anaheim plaza has interior corridors but hojo does and I like that :goodvibes you get a free paper in their market lol and if you have an AP you get a discount in their market too :cool1: they also have super nice beds and pillows :goodvibes
plus free parking, did you check on a parking fee at plaza?

We've stayed at both. Anaheim Plaza has a parking fee. When we were there it was $ a day. They also have exterior corridors. That said, we enjoyed our stay there. The room was big, clean, and comfortable enough. The shower next door was loud enough to wake s up each morning as was the maid's cart on the sidewalk. The staff was pleasant enough to us but were slightly rude to another guest while we were in the lobby waiting for our taxi. There is a fridge and microwave in their rooms and you walk right by the coffee place at Ramada Maingate on your way.

It seems to me like the walk from HOJO is better. The beds are more comfortable. The staff is great. They also have indoor corridors and they offer discounts to AP holders and I know they offer a 15% discount to micechat members. If you walk on the hotel side of the street, you'll walk right by Mimi's and McDonalds. Of course, you can avoid all that foot traffic by crossing at Manchester and walking on the DLR side of Harbor. Still, for $42 dollars more (with a comparable walk) I think I'd take HOJO.

For that long of a stay YES IMO ~ if it was just one or two nights maybe not. And since it just the 2 of you I'm sure you'll appreciate the indoor corridors.

Thank you all for your input. Do the double rooms have a microwave? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. Does anyone know how much milk, pop, and water cost at thier store? :confused3 We will not have a car so I have to use what is already there.

The deluxe rooms in building 2 are the ones with the microwaves. All rooms have refrigerators.

Edited: This link might help you:

It looks like there are some deluxe rooms in building 1 that also have microwaves, as well as the suites of course.
