Is the free dining package refundable?

I really, really REALLY want to go back to WDW and the other half said I should to book the trip during free dining. Problem... airfare is ridiculous right now! The cost of airfare would negate any savings the free dining plan would give me. If I book my trip now, pay the deposit but am unable to find decent airfare, can I cancel and get my deposit back? How long do I have? And an add-on question, for those of you who gone during the free dining promotion before, were you able to make any ADRs less than 6 months out, I mean, am I out of luck if I haven't already booked them? TIA!

if you cancel before 45 days of the trip i believe you get all your money back. after 45 days there are fees

Up until 45 days prior. However, if you add the insurance, Disney will keep that.

Last year I booked FD on June 11. Then I calledfor ADR's a few days later and got everything I wanted. Then 2 weeks later I called to change one to Le Celliere and got it at the same time as the other. There will be lots of choices for a while yet.

Thanks for the quick replies. I know some people always say you need to make ADRs but I didnt for our last trip and we never went hungry, with free dining though, I'm sure things will be different. Wish me luck in finding some decent airfare or spontaneously growing my own wings!

I did it, i found decently priced airfare! Going to Disneyworld! Hurray for Frontier Airlines!!!

Last year at the end of July I decided to book us for a trip at the end of August. We didn't get free dining since the promotion had already passed, but there were lots of others with the FD. I had no problems booking ADRs. The only one I couldn't get was Chef Mickeys for our arrival evening since they only had late ressies still available. Otherwise it was no problem. In fact I kept changing the ADRs around, even during the week we were actually at WDW and was able to get everything I wanted. That said, I'm very glad I already have my CRT ressie for this 8/27 already set.
