Is the DLH worth £400 more than the NBH for 3 nights?

As above.

Apart from proximity to the park, what do you get to justify the extra spend.

It would be for Feb half term next year.

you get a hot breakfast, nicer surroundings. thats about it.

dont forget the DLH smell! def worth 30p!:rotfl2:

I had this dilemma when I booked in 2008. I upgraded to the DLH and it was worth every penny - to me, others might think it was a waste of money. I loved the hotel and it felt like a real treat to be there. I wrote a trip report - the link is in my signature.HTH

Hi, we did DLH at Feb half term this year and it was great being so close to the park as it was sooooooooooooo cold. Especially as it meant that when my 3 year old had had enough we were back at the hotel almost immediately. Also the photo opps at the fireplace outside Inventions at breakfast with the characters were really calm and organised, and there were often "extra" characters hanging around. I guess it depends on your priorities - for me I'd say £400 is worth it.

Well i have stayed in all the resorts and i like the squoia lodge the best in winter and in summer the new port bay . Why because of the cosyness of the hotel in winter and the freshness of npb in summer . I have stayed in dlh too it was wonderfull and yes it has more magic too it too but 400 pounds is a lot of money .
My biggest dissepointed was new york and santa fe

I guess it's what that money is worth to you, which is going to be a different for everyone. I personally think that the DLH is great for the winter months, but would be more than happy to stay at any of the other on-sites during the rest of the year.

How about meeting halfway and staying at Hotel New York or does that not appeal?

Well it will cost me £250 and 3000 Airmiles to stay at the DLH over the NPB.

I feel a booking coming on!

With the normal DLH rooms, do you get the extra one use Fastpass?

Yes - one per person per day, but although they are dated they arent named, so on one day ds1 and I did Peter Pan twice in sucession with the Fastpasses as dh and ds2 didnt want to use them
