Is the dining plan worth it?

I'm trying to figure out if the dining plan is worth it or not for my daughter (11) and myself? Since she is considered an adult with Disney, I'm just not sure if she would like a lot of the menu items but would prefer the kids menu.

Do you think the dining plan is worth it or should I just pay as we go?

For you and an 11 year old, probably not.

To "break even" on the dining plan, you need to average $38 per TS meal and $17 (I think) per CS meal. Unless you plan to do a lot of the more expensive character meals, it won't be worth it for just yourself and an 11-year-old who you say will likely prefer the kids menu. Even the most expensive TS kids meals (besides fixed-price meals, at which she'd pay adult price anyway) are well under $20.
