Is the Dementor effect on Harry Potter Forbidden Journey done?

I just got back from riding HP&FJ, and noticed a change. I rode it back in 2012, and the last Dementor that you encountered would do a soul sucking effect. They took your picture earlier in the ride, and then they projected it onto a sheet of fog in front of the dementors. It was really cool looking. I rode it on multiple days this time, and I didn't see the effect any of the rides. Was it just down when we were there, or has it moved to Expedition Everest's Yeti status and taken away?

Sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't.

Do you mean where it looks like he's pulling in 'fog'? We saw that both times we rode earlier in the month.

Glad to know it's still working then. In the past I've had it not work fully before on a ride, but then it worked perfect the next time I rode it. I think we rode it five times this weekend over three days, and it didn't come close to working any of those times. Just a run of bad luck I guess. Thanks

I've never even *heard* of that effect, let alone experienced/noticed it, and we've been going at least once a year since the year WW opened. Odd.

It was working in Jan when we went, but only on one of our days.Not the other 3

I think we have seen it most times.......but didn't really notice when we didn't see it....iykwim..........

But there are times DS said it wasn't working so yes, it does seem to be a hit and a miss for most.
