I am looking at the calander and its saying that magic kingdom is gonna be very crwded this weekend. sat levels (7) (sun 8) and that the follwing weekends in feb are less crowded than this weekend. i thought that it would be more packed towrds the middle and end of Feb.

Hi,

In my opinion, crowd calendars are slightly more reliable than Magic 8-Balls, but slightly less reliable than Ouija Boards.

To be serious for a minute, it's all very simple. If schools are in session through most of the country, crowds will be manageable. if schools are out, crowds will be very large.

Someone said years ago, there is no slow time at WDW anymore.
Everyone has figured out when the slow time is. You have to remember,
Floridians and southerns go to the parks on the weekend, just like we do things in our state on the weekend. Except for them, it is not brutually hot out like in the summer, thus they go to the parks on the weekend.

Don't worry about crowds, get to the parks at opening, have a plan and enjoy yourself.

Yes, I have always found the touringplans.com crowd calendar to be accurate. We use their sites to help plan all of our WDW trips.

We just returned and I do not think the crowd calendar was accurate. It was much less crowded than it said. It wasn't the busy season so the 5-7's made sense. But when rides like Space Mountain have 5 minute waits all day, I don't understand how the crowd calendar can't be a 1 or 2! We didn't do the Disney parks on Thurs or Fri that week and those days had 4's!

We've been the first week of December three years ago and the crowds were very light. But the last week of January was even more light. The only day with crowds was a Sunday, and the number was fairly accurate for that day. The rides still didn't have super long waits, but they did have 30 minute waits and it was hard to walk around at Animal Kingdom due to all the people.

I was at WDW last year this weekend and it was super packed. UNBELIEVABLY packed. 1) School groups from Brazil and Argentina and 2) Cheerleading groups. Plan on getting to the parks early and getting FPs as soon as a you can. The groups hit the machines in droves and wiped out the available FPs for the day very quickly! Also plan to eat CS meals at off times. Large groups in restaurants mean long lines to get food.
