Is the Caribbean COMPLETELY renovated?

I thought I'd read that the CBR was all renovated, but I was reading some recent feedback about it on Trip Advisor (like within the past couple of months) where people commented that their room there was a bit tired-looking or in need of renovation. Are there still some sections that haven't been redone or what?
Thanks!

Safety Mom, where are you? From reading these threads, user "safety mom" has the best knowledge of CBR there is. I wish I could answer your question, I do know we are going in Jan. in a preferred location (Martinique or TN) and as far as I know they will not be under construction. But Please, if anyone out there knows, help us out! Thanks!

CBR was renovated a few years ago, I think we they were doing it in 2001 when we were there. I am sure it is all done now

CBR was shut down for several months in 2002. It reopened Dec. 2002. I think the rooms are in pretty good condition.

You might want to check out the FAQ's listed below. They contain trip reports for others that have stayed at CBR.

Ah! Safetymom, there you are! Late last night, I was checking out your linked photos--which looked great! I made it through some of the posts, but it was past midnight, so I haven't read them all. Why do you think people on other sites, saying they were at CBR in Sept. or Oct. of 2004 would comment on the "worn" or "in need of refurbishment" rooms there at this point? I was hoping that maybe there were a couple of rooms that hadn't gotten redone yet? We're currently thinking of a WDW trip in Oct. '-5---long way away, but we need that long to save!
Thanks for all your help on CBR on behalf of all us CBR researchers!

No accounting for some people tastes. You don't know if they are used to a Deluxe or what their tastes are. I am sure there are some rooms that have led a hard life. If you get there and there is a problem with the room contact the front desk. They are very good at dealing with any problems.

I am out of town on a business trip so not checking the board as often.

I am looking forward to staying at the CBR the end of Jan. Does anyone know when Martinique was remodeled last? I think that is what we requested. Or, if anyone knows a better or newer building. I assume from what I have read here they are all in good shape. And of course I will be glad to report in early Feb. when I return, but I don't know if that is too late to help some people out.

They all were refurbished around the same time. Martinique is a preferred village costing extra but it is a great location.

OK, because a travel agent just told me to avoid higher level rooms at the end of the village (Trinidad South, I think she said) because you may be able to see construction from there? Maybe she has the wrong resort in mind....

The construction would be of a resort being built next to CBR. It is not a Disney resort.

I wish people would not even go on tripadvisor, the people on there would make you think the Ritz Carlton in Naples was a shack.

Good to know there is no immediate construction at CBR. But there is next door? Does anyone know what it is?

It is a Fairfield resort. They are holding the grand opening this weekend. Bonnet Creek Resort. They are not part of WDW.

Thanks Safety mom for all the good info! You are one of the reasons I feel confident trying a "new" resort this year in the CBR! Love all your photos and info! My kids looked it all over as well and are excited. If the CBR isn't paying you, they should be.:wave2:
