The next discount (public) will be free dining that will be in late August? Meaning that after the enf of this month, there will be no discounts for a trip that is taking place between April and Mid august? I am sure that is the norm, but do you think they will do that this year with so many discounts so far this year?

curious what your thoughts are... I am still wishing and hoping and wishing and hoping for this magical Free QS dining pin going around so I can apply it for my trip at the end of May. Disney Magic please shine on me!!!! :worship:

To receive any of the discounts offered now through 8/14, they need to be booked by 3/27. The next round of discounts, whatever it may be, will be for travel dates (presumably) beginning 8/15.

There are several different offers out right now. Depending on where you are staying, I would think either the GC or room only (which you can then add tix & Dining onto) would be a better value than the QS free dining.

The GC card is the best for a 5 night stay unless you have a lot of adults or at value.

I figure qs is 32 per adult and 10 per child or 84 for 2 adults 2 kids. So it is better at value (420 versus 300) and worse then mod or deluxe (500,750). Depends on where you are staying.

QS dining is much better for us because my 1st child is 14 and therefore considered an adult and because we are staying for 8 nights at a value resort. We actually don't "need" tickets for the 3 of us "adults", but I would get a 1 day pass for all of us if it meant free dining. So that is over $100 a day for a dining plan. The gift card option doesn't even make sense for us. If I can't get free dining we will just do out of pocket. I can budget better than the dining plan would cost but it would have been nice to have the flexibility and freedom.

I was just wondering if people thought if you were planning to go before mid august and you hadn't booked yet, does that mean you are out of luck for any deals....

It sounds like the room only code is best for you then. That is available, but you need to book by Sat.

Code QNY.

But with the free dining QS pin, you have to pay rack rate. So You might not really save much anyway??? Try to think positive!!! :cheer2:

On a value, room discount is 20% which amounts to approx $30 per night on a value. Dining is more than this for just one adult...

Very different than a 40% discount on a deluxe...

I believe my discount is 30% but definitely 25%. However it is still a better deal to get free dining.

I have done the math and even having to pay rack rate at pop century, buying a one day ticket for my self, DH and DSD (which I don't need) and upgrading to regular dining plan, I still save $100 from what I planned to spend on food and room wth the discount. Plus this would give us more flexibility (not paying attention to which entree we order and saving the most money) and freedom to have more TS knowing we would have to spend more on tips, however.

I keep hoping the Disney fairies love me :) But definitely this would be the best deal for our situation.... :wizard:

I understand that the OP would save $100 (according to her calculations) if she got a free QS pin. I was just saying that she still got a discount (30% off), so try to make the best of it. That's all. I always try to look on the bright side of things and so was just pointing that out.
