Is The Adventurers' Club still funny?

I'm doing the 3-week dance, but I'm treading lightly when it comes to the issue of the Adventurers' Club. I've read that the Adventurers' Club has sort of had to "clean up its' act" due to the newer admission policies. Going through the archives, I read that Pamelia and the gang have stated up to 10 times per night that they've had to change the routines due to the kids in the room.

With all this, can they still be funny? Do they still slip in the occasional ribald joke? Has a lot of the fun gone out of the club?

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff...

I need the info in part because I've been trying to come up with a routine in case I get picked to participate in the Maids' Sing-Along, but most of my impressions are of people non-family appropriate (Andrew "Dice" Clay, Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Murphy and Sam Kinison are a few of the impressions I do.)

I think Im missing something, but I dont understand how the new admission policy would affect the AC? If the problem is kids in the club, parents still have to pay for them to be in there. Or if its included in their passes, then its the same as its always been. Kids have always been allowed in.

I can see the open gate policy affecting the number of kids walking around PI in general, but not in the clubs. You still have to pay for the kids to go in so thats nothing new. :confused3

FWIW, I was at the AC on a Friday night in Dec and only noticed a few teens while we were there. Nothing was mentioned about changed routines, or kids being there. A good time was had by all.
Enjoy! :cool1:

1) Not exactly.
2) During the first shows, you can walk in without paying.
3) Kids can also get in without paying.
4) Last September, there were several escorted and un-escorted kids.

NOTE: I do not like the new policy of PI entry without paying. This invites and promotes loitering. We saw MANY un-escorted teens just hanging around in groups. It is the first time the wife felt even remotely unsafe in a Disney setting. We will not go back to PI until the admission policy changes !

So far, it's still funny. Changes are being made (though not in the show itself), so who knows how that'll go down.

Usually most of the kids clear out by about 9 or so.

And you probably shouldn't plan to use language the cast members themselves aren't supposed to use whether or not there are kids in the room (although you haven't mentioned that cussing is an integral part of your impressions).

Anyone can get in to the AC free for the first couple of shows. At about 9 PM they start checking for official wristbands. Anybody without one is asked to leave and pay admission.

How can you get in the clubs without paying? Ive been to PI twice since the new policy and have understood it(and seen it) to be you can get in PI without paying, but have to pay to get in the clubs?
We also had a teen in our party and I know he was charged the same admission as adults to go to the clubs? How can kids get in free? Is that something new that started with the new policy? Now Im more confused than ever. ;)
