Is the 3 day worth it? What exactly are the differences between that and the 4/7 day?

We live in south Florida and are thinking about surprising our son with a three night cruise for his birthday. We were supposed to take the Magic this March but for other reasons (a HUGE credit) we are going with Celebrity. Is the 3 day worth it? Do they have Palos, brunch, etc. I would love to hear any information and opinions!

we went on a 3 day in july and it went by so fast but was incredible. we are going on a 7 day eastern (payed only 700 more) and should have a great time. palo's was on the 3 day and was booked solid. most of the things you can do are on both ships with the exception of just a few select things only on the 7 day. others will answer that but i dont remember what that are.(even looking at the passpoerts guild) and i have a long 3 days work this week. felt like 6 days work LOL i hope this helps

The first time we went on a cruise, back in the stone ages, when my boys were 6 and 4, we went on the 3 day to see how it would go for them...
THEY LOVED IT.. my 4 year old asked if we could just stay on the cruise for the next sailing since he had soo much fun...

The time goes by so fast.. that the 7 day is the only one that I will consider now,, but depending on the age of your child.. it is good to start off with a 3 or 4 day to see what they will like...

depending on what else you want to do - we've been on both the 3 & 4 day - and loved them both - but because the kids always want to go to wdw we have stuck w/the short cruises -

we've also worked it out to make special events in wdw - like mnsshp and/or the food & wine festival

you'll love all of the cruises - but you have to be happy w/whether you make it to wdw -

on the other hand - if you can get two weeks - the 7 day would be a real special trip & you'll also get wdw

Someone once did a price comparison on these boards and found that the 3 day was really not worth it. They found that for the price, you should choose the 4 day. I've only done the 7 day, so I can tell you that I enjoyed that one immensely.

I think, if I lived in Florida, I would do a lot of three night cruises. Obviously, a seven night or even a four night would be longer, and therefore more of a 'vacation', but I think you're looking more for a birthday celebration thing and I would love to do that. For most of us, adding the travel days into it means you need a longer cruise to make it worth it.

Wouldn't it be great to pop over to the Port for a short cruise? :D

Does the 3 day go by too fast? YES Is it still a wonderful time? YES!!

It would be a great birthday for your son. He'll love it.
