Is That It for Codes???

I'm afraid that today's codes are the much-anticipated ones that were supposed to come out Thursday Nov 3.
But what about the possibility of a room-only code still? Or maybe a Disney Visa deal? I still find it strange that the BRP rates are so low for Jan/Feb, but these "best rates" haven't come up for the public yet.

Any thoughts? :confused3

Very disappointed in the codes. Not much savings. AAA is a better deal right now for us.

Had additional family thinking about joining us & they were pumped up waiting for the new codes hoping it would make it a financial reality. A bigger discount would have been the deciding factor. Adding Park Hoppers & water parks etc just wasn't enough.

What are these codes? Are they the ones that are emailed to only certain people or is there one for everyone? I am so confused about this.

I thought I may end up disappointed after reading here yesterday...but I called this morning and saved myself $413!
This is how it is broken down for me:

My package was originally was $3049.59 ---POR 7 nights 8 day Hoppers Plus dining....+ $390.25 Room Only AKL = $3439.84

I just called and my total for my package is now $2636.55 + AKL = $3026.80

So It is like not paying for AKL now and saving another $23 ontop of that AND they added the PLUS options to my tickets *FREE* so we ARE going to hit Disney Quest ----who knows, if we have a 75 degree day I will be @ the water parks! :)
This works great for me, maybe not for some...but with 5 of us 8 Days we saved on all those hoppers--and that helped A LOT.

The code is listed on mousesavers (not sure if the main page here had it)...I used Code YRD for MYW with dining...
request booking code YRE for the Magic Your Way Package, or YRD for the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.

Hope this helps :goodvibes

Those discounts scheduled for tomorrow were released this morning. Here is what I had originally:
2 Adults, 5 nights Allstar Music, 2/15 to 2/20 with MYW dining, 4 Day MYW base tickets, 1 free 5x7 photo pass, 1 dinner certificate for Planet Hollywood and some type of gift from there. $1,220.36 w/tax

Using the new code YRD:

2 Adults, 5 nights Allstar Music, 2/15 to 2/20 with MYW dining, 4 Day Hopper with Water Park and fun and more option tickets. $1142.16 w/tax a savings of $78.20

My TA, Deb from Magic For Less was able to modify my reservation so we will still get the photo, meal certificate for Planet Hollywood and the free gift from their too.

Heck we may even stop into DisneyQuest for a little bit since we have that option now. My discount was not as good because we are staying at a value resort.

They also have a discount code YRE which is for a MYW package without the dining. Good luck and happy hunting.

I'm liking Deb and Magic For Less more and more even though I can't give up total control and had to call this morning to get the discount too!

I'm off to cancel the reservation that I made this morning.

Still hoping for a room only code since then I wouldn't have to buy a CAA membership.

Currrent ressie:
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : 7 nights room only with CAA 20% discount comes to $70 per night with tax
7 day base tix from ticketmania $694
CAA special membership (not bought yet) 40 US
TOTAL = $1229

I called CRO and asked for a new quote using YRE
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : MYW package for 2 A, 2 C incl. hopping and water park
TOTAL = $1292.24

I am not interested in hopping or water parks/DQ/PI this trip and the only value I can see is to upgrade this during trip to a 10 non expire ticket to use water parks and 3 extra days tickets on another trip. Still, we are not planning on going back to WDW for awhile after this trip.

So should I simply stick with what I have currently (room only with CAA discount ) and buy tix from ticketmania?? Or is ther some reason why I should consider going with the YRE deal????

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you Miss Michelle. I appreciate the infomation. I called and it doesn't look like it will be much of a deal for us. We hadn't planned on park hopping or water parks, etc. With this option we'd have to buy more park days than we'd originally wanted. Right now we have just what we want with AAA. I did call AAA and they said a code would be released tomorrow for them to use. So if it winds up that we could get the extra benefits with a AAA discount then maybe we'll take that. This can all be so confusing and overwhelming sometimes :earseek:

Thanks again.

That's good to hear, I hope AAA does get a code, because it also work out better for us.

I called my AAA TA this morning, and she said that we cannot have both discounts, we have to see whats bets for us! The room discount or the upgrade hopper+water parks.

In my case, we will stick with the room discount saving 350$, as we didn't either plan to use the hopper system for this trip.

for the AAA packages. It was J versus D or E I think. I called my AAA agent yesterday to tell her that it was coming out and to check and see if it would be less expensive. She had no idea about it. I called just now to let her know they were released this morning. She still didn't know about it and said she'd check and call me back....frustrating. But I did save $200 ish with her than without because of the AAA room discount with the MYW+dining package. Just wanting to save another $200. ;o)

That's what I thought too about not getting both discounts. I figured I'd call again tomorrow but not get my hopes up. I too am pleased with the deal we have with AAA right now. Either way it's going to Disney, how can you go wrong.

My TA from Magical Journeys is handling this for me. Right now I have AAA room-only at POFQ for seven nights, including tax for $866. Four 7-day hopper passes is $950, incl. tax, for a total of $1816.

With the package deal I would get the add'l water parks feature added onto the hopper passes (which I don't need) and the total with tax would be $1772. Which would save me a whopping $44.

Are you guys saying that your AAA TA's couldn't get the new code (YRD) to work for them? Mine couldn't either, at first. But, she was finally able to and it saved me an additonal $90 from my old AAA discount.

Add to your savings the cost of the plus features and you are saving even more (if you were paying for them).

Hey HL -- I agree, I'm confident the code that came out yesterday IS the infamous Nov. 3rd code!!! LOL I think it was just released early.

I used the code YDR and it saved us $275.00!!!!! That is awesome, we are actually thinking of adding another day!!!

Here's how mine breaks down..........

2 adults, 1 child
AKL - standard
5 nights
dining plan
6 day park hoppers

My original price was $2,247.64
with the code it's now $1,972.04
Saving $275.00

I am also getting the:
planet hollywood meal voucher and the planet hollywood merchandise voucher
which I was gettting anyway, since I had booked the package. NOW, my hoppers and water park are "free". Plus, the waterpark features can also be used at DisneyQuest, Pleasure Island and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, so you don't have to go to the waterparks if it's too cold.

I'm happy with what we've got, any savings at all is great, and this is nothing to sneeze at!!! DH and I are talking about adding another night......... we might...... or we might just save the $$ and us it towards an upgrade when we get there if we don't care for our "view". Let me know what you guys decide!!!! { There can never be enough LSU fans at AKL } LOL :earboy2:
