I agree with this comment. There is splashes of water, and then there is the equivalent of having a 5 gallon bucket of water dumped on your head, which isn't very fun if you have hours left in the park.
True story - I had to leave my family in the park to fly back East for a business trip. We did a few rides in the morning before I had to leave, including Splash. I then did the drive to LAX, flew on a plane to the other side of the country, got a ride to the hotel, and was still wet from my ride on Splash eight hours earlier. So, here I was, sitting in a city on the East coast, in the middle of the night, alone and away from my family, wet from Splash Mountain in
Disneyland. It was like the opening scene in Emperor's New Groove - if you had zoomed in on me then, I would have said, "you are probably wondering how I ended up here." That was the last time I rode without a poncho.
