Is something going on with Cozumel??

I'm wondering because I see a few different threads where people are unable to book Cozumel excursions, and yesterday when I went on the DCL web site to check my own reservations, it still listed that I had the Fury Catamaran booked, but it wouldn't list ANY Cozumel excursions at all in the area where you can choose to book more/new excursions. Very strange, because I doubt that every single Cozumel excursion is booked. It only listed all of Costa Maya (we're on a double dip cruise), and Castaway Cay excursions to choose from. :confused3

First question have you anything else booked at that time it will block it out if you have.

Second I have Tulum booked for my Cozumel trip so it could be done, but poss hurricaine damage limited the trips they can do? Poss sold out?

My experience with the DCL excursion reservation system is that once you choose an excursion for a port, it prevents you from seeing other excursions since you can't have more than one booked. I would prefer if this system would still let you view other excursions (to see if they are available), but not let you book if you have another booked. This at least lets you see what are available.

We cancelled our Fury excursion and once we did all the available excursions were displayed. Some of us are going to snorkel with Eagle Ray Divers and some are just going to do the Cozumel Beach Break at Playa Mia.

We didn't book any excursions for CM or Coz mostly because there isn't much you can do when you have a 2 year old either through DCL or a third party excursion company besides go to the beach.

We will take a taxi to Majahual and enjoy they day there. At Coz we want to go to Chankanaab and see what is open. They apparently are not having dolphin swims yet, but maybe the sea lions will be available.

When I called about the Fury Catamaran I was told that it is listed as temporarily unavailable. I'm calling at 105 days out and have nothing else booked. There were only 5 excursions available to book in Coz. They didn't even know if they had started offering the excursion since the hurricane. It's fustrating when you can't get more info on these boards than from a CM paid to know these things.

Interesting that Fury Catamaran is listed as unavailable, unless it is due to a computer glitch. The excursion was available (and was fantastic) last week.

Right! I booked the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel, for next month, TWO months ago. :confused3

That's what I told the supervisor. I've seen people's reports since the hurricane so I knew people had done the excursion. Hopefully they will work it out in their system.

Thanks for the explanation, I didn't realize they blocked out all other excursions, once you book 1 for that port. :)

Last night I tried to book the Fury Catamaran for Cozumel for October 25th. It was not even shown as an option. (This is 90 days in advance of the start of the cruise.) It was about 1:05 A.M. MDT, and it did not even come up as an option. I was able to get just about every day and time for Palo tea, brunch and dinner.

Called DCL today and the CM had her supervisor check the site, and it still showed availability. She suggested I call the DCL excursion reservation specialists tomorrow. The excursion folks are only available from 9-5 EDT Mon-Fri. So something does seem to be amiss. She did not think all the suite (105 day in advance) had booked it up, and she thought it was sometimes booked up by 75 days in advance, but should not have been full now.
